I rode it last Sunday, prior to the Elite Men's race, at 6am. I had no trouble from the stewards who were already lining the route. A few other cyclists joined in and there were spectators already pitched up on Montrose Street by 7am. I think it is a fab circuit for spectators. What some don't realise is the mixed surface of the roads, which would be treacherous in the rain (as we've seen)...it's not just the corners which bring the riders down.

Yeah the surfaces were certainly interesting right!? We got a bit of shit from one steward but most were cool
