Could potentially be the one of the biggest and best mixing channels without all the irrelevant shit. It has nothing to do with who has the same humor or not. It’s that mixing is already so complex and time consuming to become remotely good at, that there’s just not time for the little quirky stuff. Other than that the delivery was perfect and I love your passion

Really cool collection of tricks!! You probably know this but everybody else and especially beginners please note: a good clean mix with good balances makes up 80% of a mix and tricks like this maybe make up 20% max. So you might have one or two tricks on a mix but not much more

So much information on your videos, I really enjoy watching it, but at the end I feel like half I didn't understand exactly how to do it and the other half I already forgot already. Would love all of these in a PDF file that I can read. Maybe one day for the members who pay? Thanks.

The trick of eq ing the fx is a trick I found out early on. I was mixing a song at the university, as a student and a beginner I was a bit overwhelmed with all the options I had for settings in the Lexicon 960L we had there and I liked the sound of a plate in some sources, a room on others and a hall. Then I realize that if I use eq to make them blend together it will work easier for me, so I soloed the returns and I eq them so they sound good together, it worked and I learned a valuable lesson. Recently I use eq on the return channel of my reverb in a live situation, taming the lowmids etc for some songs and some vocalists , I use or bypass the eq accordingly

Really like the tips shared in this and all your videos, but the editing is distracting and takes away from the message. It’s ironic because the tips are about subtleties it could take lots of practice to get right, your audience must care about mixing enough to click and then use these tips on projects we’ve spent time on too, but the editing style treats your audience as if they have the shortest attention span. It verges on disrespectful to our engagement that we need so much going on to retain all this. It also makes it very difficult to use this video as a reference. I had to rewind several times on a couple tips to follow what the tip actually was, only to be caught watching the filler edit parts over and over. If this video was meant to be split into hundreds of bite sized ones, this style would make more sense. But there’s even a flashing strobe on the outer frame when its just you talking, the only explanation I can think of is trying to hypnotize the audience to keep retention or something. And if the point is watch time, you could cut this entire video by more than half by taking out so much filler dialogue, like calling CLA Lord of the Mix just once, and still keep some memes. When the knowledge shared is good, we’ll watch regardless, multiple times, but not when the video’s editing is unwatchable. Jokes, memes, zoom-ins, etc are great on YT. You have a lot of good stuff to share and there’s clearly a lot of work put into this. Hope this feedback is helpful, I will be using the tips I understood so thank you for making it
