But wait, I've had to do "sneaky things" - save money, spy on him for proof of infidelity (can't afford to hire PI), and telling people that he's a narcissist, and yeah, he is an alcoholic. But it took 20 years of abuse to even admit to myself what he's been doing to me all along. On the other hand, he is really good at manipulating people's perceptions. He has people feeling sorry for him for being married to me... he has destroyed my mind, body, and even social life. I'm a shell of the woman who married him 25 years ago.

I’m sure I would never have left him, but God has answered my prayers. 2 wks ago he blindsided me by saying we should sell our house, split the money & go our separate ways ( has still has never said “divorce” or even “separation”). In the 4 days that followed i learned that he has been basically living a double life for I believe over a year, lying, cheating, planning & scheming with an associate from work. They have been settled into their new life for over a week, at their new place, with all their accounts set up, finances & ducks all in a neat little row. My life has imploded into chaos. @@sylviaking8866 I’m so sorry! Been there! Was married 30 years…divorced 16 years! Life DOES go on! In fact, you will get your JOY back! Recently I’ve found that Karma does happen! My ex married a narcissist who treated him the same way he treated me….She stole so much money from his retirement and used Vinmo to send it to her relatives, who then deposited to her hidden account (joint with her brother)! His attorney has no idea what he’s dealing with! She and her attorney are fighting dirty, even accusing me of helping to break up the marriage. Amusing, b/c I hadn’t had any contact with him for years…then only at weddings, etc….She simply can’t believe that someone would discard her! She has even entered into the legal docs how much she prays that the marriage will be healed, and that she prays each day b/c she believes marriage is forever! Funny, b/c she left her first husband for the second….and the second for the third!!! Amazing how those vows didn’t count….until now!!! These people are psycho! I’ve seen karma first hand…though it took many years! Good luck with your life! One day you’ll realize that it was worth the divorce pain….just to be away from them! God Bless! 💖💖💖

My narc worked for Microsoft as a tester. He was fired. I think for stealing codes. He is a programmer knows codes. My narc broke into my computer and googles server. I have friends he broke into my texting sent them different messages meant to destroy my friendships. In three cases those people came to my home with their phones to show me what they got. I showed what I sent, the messages were clearly manipulated to ruin important supportive relationships. He put parential controls on my phone before it was easy on an old Sony trio. He tried to stop me from keeping in touch with my support system. He convinced MY attorney he had rights to do what he did. This is all possible. I seemed crazy. I was abused.

Thank you so so much for all your videos they have been a spark of hope and validation for the nightmare Ive found myself in. My ex has hacked into two iPhones of mine, two laptops, my boys cell phones adding blocked numbers, sharing location, erasing texts and email and somehow has managed to hack my wifi, router and modem. I obviously must be too emotional when trying to get any one to help me. I feel disappointed and let down by the laws on child custody and the impact of emotional, psychological, financial abuse and the delays/games that the narcissist uses to manipulate the system. Police believe the narcissists lies and are condescending and rude, which makes the victim feel crazy and defenceless. A person really does get broke down and frustrated with the system.

Before tying the knot,........ Sign a prenuptial agreement clearly stating that if the husband/wife is proven to be a narcissist during the course of the relationship, all expenses of the divorce will be covered in full by the narcissist.

be careful tho. Narcissists are really good at manipulating people, and they can make sure that psychologists see you as the narcissist. So what I'd rather suggest is, make any partner wait for one or two years until the marriage. Narcissists can't wear their mask forever, so they'll leave if they get tired of you.

My Divorce was just finalized 4 weeks ago. My Ex Narc basically just didn't do anything from not signing the papers or discussing separating assets nothing. His way of having control. He now is not paying Spousal/Child Support and has every excuse in the book. Found out he'd been hiding money and forging my Signature on Taxes etc. He stole all the paperwork in our home , he's been trying to get in my Google Account. And who knows what else! I'm so exhausted. Just want to move on with my life. He had already moved on and I'm sure was with her for years prior to me leaving. I won full Custody do to the abuse. Our daughter is 15 and was able to tell her side. Also had her in therapy to which the judge was allowed to see all the notes and talk to therapist.

Hi. I lived with an extremely abusive woman because I couldn't leave the child with her lost every thing, she even put me in jail falsifying. Finally the child opened up and told me about years of my God unimaginable abuse behind my back, when I got a lawer and filed for a year tpo which was granted but cost me so much, now she won't just get a divorce and go. She is going to make this very difficult. She openly cheated even committed adultry in front of the child and her friend. I now having to care for the child and covid can't work and don't have the financial resources to fight this. What should I do. I was lucky in the court the lawer was able to expose her lies. My daughter says she assumes her dead and does not ever want to see or talk to her she is very bitter about her. She is doing so much better, has grown so much in the past 8 months, she went from the bottom of the class to all As and Bs, goes cross country 2 days a week and has a great personal life with her beloved friends on weekends.

That's so true that if you do not respond to their emails, for them, that's you agreeing. A little over a week after my spouse and I communicated about divorce where I made myself clear that it will not be an "Uncontested Divorce," I received an e-mail from the divorce lawyer notifying me that she's representing my spouse. I sent my spouse an e-mail and the response about the "uncontested divorce" and "without minor children" was: you did not give me any options and you agreed to it since I didn't hear back from you for over a week - and for years my spouse did that to me when I questioned things and or if I didn't do what I was told to do.

I called her she was playing video games said she she was busy then I said ok I will go and go and play video games then she gets angry for leaving and says go play your stupid video games. 13 .enjoyed me crying and wanted me to cry more so she would get back into a relationship with me. 14. very self centred always talks about her self and never asks anything about me. 15. flirted with other people behind my back and cheated on me 16 .talks down to me and says I'll only get back with you if her new partner comes back and jokes about me going to their wedding if they get married. 17. still wanted sex with me even tho shes with her new partner and tells me it will be our little secret. 18 .wants a open relationship with me and other person because she cant make her mind up between us both and tells me she wont tell the other person that shes with me. 19. asked for my credit card info. 20. tells me I deleted her number but I didnt then acts like a victim ( I think she deleted) 21 .meets up with a blonde girl and a man from the internet tells me shes just gonna have pizza and watch a film with them, she gets back home I confront her If she did anything sexual with them, tells me she did but was raped but doesn't make sense because she was annoyed that they stopped speaking to her when she got back home and still wanted to speak to them, when she was on the way home texting me she tells me she likes being choked as a fetish. we speak about this subject a week later and tells me the guy choked her and she nearly died because he raped her and she couldn't breathe. 22 .was sexually abused in the past and had sex with other people to numb her self and needed drugs. 23. she cheated on a ex and tells me all her ex's abused her and it's all their fault. 24. when I'm not around wants attention from other guys. 25. speaks badly about her family behind their back but is nice to them in person 26 .if I want space or go and do my own thing she gets angry. 27. I am ALWAYS doing something wrong in the relationship 28. takes high dose of antidepressants. 29. talks down to me and nitpicking at me 30. 4 different Facebook profiles 31. she did something one time and completely denied it and blamed me. 32. tells me my family doesnt love me. 33. very push/pull with me, is very loving but then pushes me away constantly.

I had been separated(left on the dangle) for 6 1/2 years before I was served divorce papers. I was on my DEATH BED with stage 4 ANAL CANCER. I ask for a continuance and was told by his lawyer they would. Needless to say no continuance. Just an uncontested DIVORCE. I got nothing. That's been 8 years and still no settlement on the 160 acres of prime farm land in OBX area of NC. I want total detachment from it All and deserve my fair share. That's all I've ever wanted. My ex drug me through the courts for 5 years by dropping attorneys and firing attorneys and telling the judge he was struggling financially and needed more time. He was in contempt 6 times for not bringing his financial statements, and he walked every time. My ex has a drug addiction that is blatantly obvious, but he was able to manipulate the judge. He represented himself and made me out to be a literal prostitute. I never even thought about another man during our 18 years of marriage, but he told the judge he had to leave his job all the time because I was out sleeping with men and he would have to come find me. I have never been in jail - he has been to jail many, many times - driving on revoked, no registration, no insurance, dui etc.. because he feels like he is above the law. I have never cheated, I was never allowed to leave our home, I was never allowed to have car keys even though I was raising 3 kids. I was not allowed to have friends, clothes, money or any time to myself, yet he convinced the judge that I was a prostitute!!! During our 18 years together, he accused me of cheating every single day! I would cry and beg and plead for him to stop, but he would say my crocodile tears did nothing for him. He would tell our kids I was a whore and they would say "dad she never leaves the house." I lost myself, I am a shell now. At the end of the day, I lost half the home we bought together. My sons were 13 and 15 when we divorced and they wanted to stay with their dad because he let them do whatever they wanted to do and I had rules. I had no choice because the courts said they were old enough to decide. I used my inheritance to help renovate our home and I lost everything. He came out a winner because he was very cunning and manipulative. I am so worn down emotionally, but I can tell you this, the courts don't care and if you are going to get anywhere with the judge, be ready to spend lots of money which I didn't have.

That has happened to me, Rebecca..i bought your package for $4 hundred and something at the beginning of the year, all my tube info erased, had spy wear down loaded in porn to my iPad . I couldn't access any info all my codes and passwords would be reset aback to what they were. I contacted the police three times they couldn't do anything because they struggled to get into their own emails? I lost my phone book emails everything. I became very despondent including mourning the lose of my youngest Zoë trying to support my oldest Natasha start the divorce process including still having him not leave the house until he was charged by the police for emotional, and financial abuse. Yes, he said he wanted things 50/50 and amicable, but it was a nightmare!! It certainly wasn’t 50/50. He’s the runaway husband that filed for divorce but treats me like I left him and is spreading lies. He was unilaterally doing things with the teen he took without including me, like I didn’t exist. We use TalkingParents and I’ve had to weed through and ignore, like Rebecca says, only addressing our teen. He’s vitriolic calling me “Disgusting” and accusing me of being responsible for our kids’ “trauma.” Except he’s alienating two of my three kids, committing financial abuse, all of it. My eldest son was truant last year and had to repeat 11th grade. Even the mediator for visitation schooled my ex on not using the children as pawns!!

How do you help a judge see through the posturing or victim act? The only solution we have come to has been to develop and document a stable and consistent pattern of behavior, in addition to eliminating unaccountable contact, while providing information and accountable communication about kiddo to the other parent regularly and that communication invites communication from them. We have tried to model what we hoped to see by doing it ourselves instead of commanding the other parent to comply. We are afraid the other party will be able to spin our very necessary boundary-setting and drama-avoidance this as rigidity and obstinence. How do we avoid this?

I tried to protect my disability income by setting up a personal account. As soon as she found out I had a separate account she demanded that we have a joint account even though she was gone. Eventually she volunteerly removed herself from my financial life after I had to change my debit and credit cards to stop her uncontrolled spending. She denies spending the money. Maybe she handed the credit card to her family and let them have whatever they wanted. The bank allowed the charges to go over the credit limit by about $1000.00

I recently divorced from my ex wife after 15 years. I was awarded soul custody of our children and our home. I found that I had to almost become her to defeat her. At the beginning stages of the divorce it was a whirlwind of drama with her filing false orders of protection going to any extreme to get what she wanted. Locking me out of are bank accounts the usual etc. it wasn’t until I noticed I was paying for two cell phone bills that the tables finally started to turn. I asked her attorney for her iPhone back that was on my family plan in my name only. Or the payment of the remaining balance on the phone. She chose to delete phone and give it back. Hence me becoming her I remembered she had all our apple ids and passwords stored on the desk top computer popped it into the phone and the holy grail of divorced played out. All the affair texts and emails and google history’s and locations she had been. And all the gaslighting going on. Instantly shut her down and she vanished.

The N-- I dealt forfeited 4 yrs worth of mid-week visits, kept the 2 wk visits, would make-up add'l visits to compensate for the bi-weekly visits that he missed (b/c there were many of those). Then turn around and convince everybody that I, "can't remember straight". My N-- pushed for a parental evaluation. Scheduled one behind my back. Went through with one. Next, thing I know is, I get a bill from some unknown woman I didn't know. Naturally, I repudiated the bill. When I said I didn't think I should have to pay for a bill that I didn't create the unknown parent eval atty threatened legal action against me IF, I didn't pay, her. Sad thing is I found out AFTER I paid the bill that some of the T & C (time and charges) that this atty billed for she NEVER had as many of the conversations as, she claimed to have had with certain outside providers who were my vendors for my child. Go Figure Great idea to bring on someone like, Kim. Hope to see more of her in the future.

Do you have a licensed psychologist that you defer to assess if a person is a true narcissist before you label them as such? Asking because it sounds as if it can be a slippery slope and incorrectly label an individual. A personal friend,, who is a licensed psychologist educated me on how society throws around labels, which do not meet the clinical definition of the condition (e.g. OCD. People say they are OCD when, in reality, they are very particular. ). Thanks in advance for your response.

She is right about the Iphone verses Android. Android is open source so it is easier to hack. Iphone isn’t. I made the switch and my ex miraculously knew less about my life. What I mean is that though the attacks became more severe accusations, the smaller accusations no longer happened. I attest this to the idea since he didn’t have access to the little things to accuse me of (that didn’t matter, but still creates a trauma response in me with my anxiety which made me look crazy), he now went to the more destructive accusations.
