I wish I learned these much earlier. When I was at my first job in HK, they wanted me to leave, so they stopped assigning me to new project, instead, they assigned me to some random marketing work which was totally not in my job scope; they asked to report on any over time that I had because my salary was too low. Since I still didn’t quit, they finally gave me two months to resign.

I was recently fired after 5 years of service the new manager hated me and wanted me out and no way was I going to quit! I was finally fired with Severance pay!! I won the game of chess.

I would add that you really need to have a good understanding of whats going on in the company behind the scenes and having a strong relationship with other coworkers who are aware of those things could help. Because, these things that you mentioned, by themselves, are not always indicators that they're trying to get you to quit. There could be other reasons. But I definitely would not trust the company to have my best interests and I would never pledge loyalty to them.

This is nothing compared to what my old repair technician job was/is doing 😂. They were finding ways to not pay it 😡. Sending people home way too early like after 4hours trying to motivate you to quit, cutting the😢 work inbound down by more than half, no raises in the last 2yrs, finding reasons to fire people/write people up for minor things they didn't care about before, switching from good insurance providers to all trash providers medical dental an vision. I also just found out they're stopping the pto hours maximum at 40, when It was based on seniority up to 208hrs smh. So they don't have to pay out 208hrs if they lay you off...... some of these companies out here are scumbags

That's crazy! Usually they have a transition period to reduce the max PTO but sometimes, you just need a lot of time to reduce a huge amount saved up. If you do, you might endanger your job for taking too much time off. I would be so frustrated with that.

hei. waterproof chemicals are linked to cancer. these chemicals are PFAS . for shoes maybe this is ok. but I would not use any waterproofing spray checicals or I would not wear clothes which were exposed to PFAS. so if the product already is advertised waterproof, it is more likely been exposed to PFAS. obviously I mean textile clothing and shoes, if it is made out of rubber then it is no brainer why it is waterproof without using PFAS

@@BeatTheBushI did a little research, their patent contains Pfas. PTFE is a compound under the PFAS chemistry group. If a company uses PTFE but claims their products to be PFAS-free, that would be false advertisement.

I've been getting countless articles about Amazon removing wfh, really don't care. Honestly it might be a deeper issue than they are revealing. Maybe their infrastructure can't handle that many remote employees or their office space would be considered money down the drain or the surrounding companies are suffering because the lack of traffic. Would love to be a fly on the wall during day to day operations after employees are back using the same bathroom stalls and fridges
