@@PunkNDisorderlyGamer They're all great, man! I'm pretty new to retro electronics repair but I just picked up a busted SNES off e-bay for like 30 bucks and fixed it up, so I've been looking into how to replace the caps and maybe even add some mods to it. I just don't quite trust my soldering skills THAT much yet so I've been trying to watch as much as I can to learn and your videos are extremely helpful. Something really special about getting that console running and refurbishing busted stuff has always been a hobby of mine, anyhow. (plus it was a lot cheaper than the $200 the local game shop wanted and I gotta save money where I can lmao)

Im feeling your pain of cleaning this stuff from it (Very nice result). BTW: Do you have tryed out in the past just bleaching the unit only with sunlight for 2 days? IT is a old method which is also known for LEGO bricks are yellowed. Maybe it is a good idea for future videos to share this method. Another question: Do you think Retrobright or bleaching in general makes the plastic porose?
@PunkNDisorderlyGamer
@PunkNDisorderlyGamer 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I never tried bleaching with sun perhaps I can try if I get a cracked unusable shell as a throw away attempt, just in case the sun light damages the plastic like a patio chair. Idk if retrobriting or bleaching causes the plastic to be anymore brittle than it all ready is.
