Don’t put it all back together with a stock converter. Cam and those gears are begging for a 3200+ converter. It will be a full second faster at the track too. Sell the stock wheels and that 220r cam and put that $ into a budget 60e converter or a used one. Auto catfish is about cheapest way to go really fast with just a cam/converter/gears. Throw a 150 shot on top it’ll do 9s for < 5k.

Intake is a FAST 54004 intake manifold. One of the earlier models. I had one on an old blue 2000 z28 when I bought it, oddly enough. Lol. I have a FAST 92 sitting in my garage too and they don’t look much different.

I bought a 1999 navy blue metallic z28 off the showroom floor in Nov 1998. T56 tho. At 116k miles I did cam headers strange 12 bolt 4:11 gears. It went 12.4 in the quarter. In 2013 at 189k miles the Moore Oklahoma tornado flooding got it. Road was flooded when I was going to work one dark early morning. I forgot I had the ram air and sucked water hydro locked the LS1.

I have a 1996 camaro v-6 car and i want to v-8 swap it. I was told that i had to drop the subframe and couldn't pull the engine out of the top. You guys made it look easy. So It can be pulled out like a normal engine?

This. I'm sure Josh was being conservative. I went 12.20s with bolt ons and a converter in the heat here in FL. 2000 Z28 that I used to own - bolt ons, 3.42 gears, 3500 stall, 255/50 16 drag radials.

Its a win either way. My buddys Fbody cam only 5.3 th350 with a stall went 12.15. Its setup decent and he has experience in it but no doubt a decent 6.0 is easy low 12 maybe 11.

@@SniderTron3000I would bet money that Is an old thunder racing 220/220 cam. I had one on a 112 lsa and it had the Same markings. Lift was around .552. It Was the best place to get LS cams in the very early 2000s. But they went out of business over 10 years ago.

Unless they changed the door too, it shows the Z28 code. Hood has been unbolted so who knows. Wheels might just be some they found after destroying the radial.

Those wheels are from the earlier 4th gen camaros (non-catfish z cars had the LT1). The hood is a later catfish 4th gen v6 hood.

Well its def not a 54039B or 146302B fast intake because I'm looking at both now and they don't match up and the giveaway that is either Dorman part or a ac Delco is the fact its a 1 piece intake as in there aren't 8-10 hex bolts holding the top of the intake to the bottom like all fast intakes.

It matches the 54039B perfectly aside from the missing logos on top. If you zoom in and look at all the bracing around the bolt holes how they each have 3 lines coming off them, the 3 enclosed squares behind the throttle body, the shape of the runners, etc.

@@SniderTron3000 nope I promise the lsx has a 1/4 surrounding lip around the front of the runners and also the lsx behind the throttle body is different. If it's an lsx it will have a revision number on the bottom of the intake at the back that you could look up but from the 100s of ls motors I have built that def isn't a lsx. My guess is Dorman or Delco not trying to sound like an ass or like I'm arguing just extremely curious if I'm right or wrong lol

Lol no worries on sounding like an ass, it's just an intake. If I'm wrong, so be it. Not the end of the world lol But to my smooth little brain, everything matches those pics of the Fast 92mm lol
