I just love how you can transpose everything your olfactory nerves are sensing into words 💕 such a vivid impression of what it could smell like. When you mentioned this fragrance was like a patch of sun, I know what you mean! There’s a Perfume from Mason Margiela Replica line that does that to me, Lazy Sunday Morning and that one makes me feel like I’m basking in patch of sunlight but inside and on a carpet ☀️ Really awesome video Ruby!!

YAY Sniff and Sip! My Notes on the "Paper Lantern Scent" Ormand Jane is popular with some of my British friends, so I'm curious to see what you think. Your editing game is EN POINTE! I have ZERO idea what champaca is. In fact, I'm pausing this to find out - pause - k. Got it. You may proceed. "Stabby in my third eye." "Spherical." "Beguilingly generic" "Like a magazine strip." "Tissue paper boyance.' "A diffused, spherical light." Girl, this is all GOLD! I feel like I know exactly what you're saying! This sounds so calming and grounding. I feel that I know EXACTLY what this smells like based on your description. Super helpful comparisons and observations about the scent itself and who might like it and for what occasion and/or location. To me, that kind of helpfulness is key. Fantastic overview of the HEAD and the HEART and the SOUL. (I love that!) Brava!

YAYYY, thank you for these thorough notes!!! You know, I feel like I NEED to find myself some champaca absolute now to give myself a good reference, because I need to sniff ALLLL THE THINGS. INCLUDING BIG STRAWBERRY 🍓 what the heck is it?? I hope one day I come across a big ass human sized strawberry in a forest somewhere and give it a good hearty whiff.

I’m picking up a sample of this because the notes seem beautiful. I love your description. I love and wear Chance eau tendre, so it was helpful you feel them a bit similar in being soft, pleasant and feminine.

I love how you described the notes, i can see it so vividly. I love Champaca, i recently blind bought it (just days ago hehehe 🤭)… it can easily become my signature scent given the schizo weather here where i live 🇵🇭 tropical countries have this crazy weather like its sunny and then suddenly it goes humid like you’re in an oven and then torrential rain right after, all in one day. Champaca is very pleasant, i like it so much it has replaced my D&G Light Blue. ithink because of the subtle rice note- it’s very light, translucent and isn’t offensive.

I like Champaca as a note, this one though doesn't sound like one I'd love to bits. I'm not really a huge lover of OJ but I did absolutely love the Osmanthus. And Woman was a very pleasant surprise

Yah another sniff & sip! I’m not sure what Champaca is supposed to smell like either… I know there is a Tom Ford fragrance called Champaca absolute, I think I’ve heard Pika Fragrances talking about it. Anyways I wouldn’t mind smelling like a paper lantern, I think it would be worth a sniff! 🥰
