This is one of the best stories of MLBB Esports history. It all started when Team Sibol (Blacklist International) + 2 amateurs with no experience in the professional scene, defeated the AllStar team of Indonesia in Sea Games Grand Finals. Indonesian fans have been making noise in social media saying that Philippines won because of pauses, which is a bad excuse on losing to 2 amateurs. (- MobaZane) During the MSC, there are many fans, even from malaysia are talking trash to our PH representatives, due to the pause issue. RSG fell short to RRQ as they got brought down to the Lower Bracket Finals to face their fellow representative, Smart Omega. RSG won in 5 games and they advance to the Grand Finals of MSC to face RRQ. Before the series began, former EVOS player & M1 Champion Donkey came up to RSG and said “Are you ready to lose to RRQ?” Which probably fuels the fire in RSG. In the Grand Finals, RRQ had the chance to win Game 1, unfortunately R7 went to for those kills instead of ending the game. RSG went on to win Game 1, then 2, 3, and went on to sweep RRQ in a dominating fashion in Game 4. RSG managed to win MSC, and they never paused during the whole series. This win by RSG had kept the doubters mouth shut, and the “Meta PHause” statement by fans became erased and forgotten.

See, it was not the fans nor the players themselves, it was the investors for their team who had so much pride for what they did. Afaik, they did not want the Indonesian fans to blame whoever put the SEA team together, so they deflected the blame and covered it up with the Philipause trend just so the fact that the investors did something wrong would not be exposed. What did they do wrong? Simple--they forcefully formed an "All-Star Team", pulling best players from each of their pro teams with very little time to practice. This is counterproductive in several ways: 1) Their SEA Team is not well-practiced. GRanted they may have played scrims together, but the coordination will be very different and difficult to adjust. Most of all, these guys possess knowledge and strategies privy to their own respective teams so although they can make new coordinations, they will be hard-pressed to share private strategies to the other All-Star members. It's not being selfish, other than the fact that these are private strategies, it will most likely be customized strategies that will only work with their own pro team's players. 2) This causes a negative impact to their MSC entries. MSC is set only mere weeks after the SEA games, and it's a major competition, therefore their own pro teams have very little time to prepare for MSC. Compare that to PH teams who divided the responsibilities among the different pro teams, our MSC contenders had more than a month to practice and prepare. Same goes for the Sibol team. And many more. Whoever put their team together only went with the fans' hype, not fully realizing the impact this brings to all their pro teams. They don't wanna take that blame for themselves so they deflect it to the PH teams instead. Take note that both PH and Indo MLBB scenes are close to commercialized. We have companies who invest on these teams. And while PH teams are so highly competitive of one another that it's frequent for one team to champion one cup while another champions a different one, that only means the competition among PH teams are so tight that the teams are actually almost at the same level with one another. I'm sure Indo teams are the same, but fro both Indo and Ph, MLBB is won as a team not as individual players. Because the ones who asked for the sponsorship of investors wanted to avoid the backlash of their decision, they're just putting out the "Philipause". The players are the only ones who have the right complain actually, but they cannot. And the fans just went along bandwagoning the trend. In the end it was all a machination pupeteered by those who have stakes on the team. It was all about money. Disclaimer: This is all just speculation, it's up to you to think whether it makes sense or not.
