Alright for some (like me) who want to imitate this, i ve done some research. Ironically AP Kai Sa might even be stronger than AD (since you should build her on-hit, instead of Lethality for her passive and stuff..). I ve watched a korean challenger Coach talking about Kai'sa With the AP path going Stattik Shiv into Guinsoos Rageblade into Nashors Tooth. (That evolves all of your abillities. - Stattik + Guinsoos = 6K gold and evolves Q + W, which are your key abillities.) After your 3 item core you go AP items, reaching from Zhonyas (when dove), Deathcap (when ahead) to Shadowflame or Stormsurge. If you want to be extra fancy you could buy attack speed boots first before going AP and changing to Sorc shoes, which means you can play as a normal ADC during lane and later before switching so far into the backline all you do is run around and annoy people with evolved W. (Now the joke is that you should your 3 item core already fuctions perfectly with adding more AP and whilst not optimal and you see enemy stacking magic ressit already, you can easily just continue playing ADC since you will still deal damage.) optimal AD path is Kraken into Terminus into Guinsoos + this also let s you abuse the new lethality changes with Youmies Ghostblade (or how it s called idk) runes: Lethal Tempo & magic boots + bisquits Start: Longsword & refillable potion OR Cull + red (you should add cull anyways as soon as possible because the 300 gold really help a lot with getting your built.) There are many high rank or pros using that build. And for last, i ve tried this myself and absolutely demolished the entire lobby. Tanks at most ate 3-4 of my W's alone despite having at least 1 magic resist item. Other champions ate 2 and died on the spot. I did a 1.9K damage W to a Sorakka support in fountain because it triggered my passive. If they ever dared to get into my Q + 1 auto attack range i could execute them if i hit W. Lethal tempo coming in clutch which allows to CARVE through entire teamfights when stacked a bit beforehand. And compared to the full AP path; your earlygame is NOT weak.
