Sniping gold under waterfalls and a suprise nugget

In this video I head back to a new river where I snipe for gold under waterfalls. I also go in search of the source of the gold after finding coarse gold nuggets with quartz attached. Could the source of the gold be nearby? Is there a reef shedding lovely gold nuggets somewhere nearby? Follow my adventure as I try to find out ENJOY!!!!

I have found nuggets sitting on bare bedrock on small creeks after storm flush.You are so lucky, no running water here in midwest NSW since late 2016,good luck in 2020, regards George

I’ve found gold under the smallest water spills in small creeks. It’s amazing how the gold just sits on the top of Bedrock. Sometimes light sands cover it but it just sits there and isn’t even stuck in a crack. Great that you found so many pieces just sitting there!

Well, for all your limitations, you put in great effort. Sorry you left your crevicing tool downstream. ...As I do blacksmithing for a hobby like gold prospecting, I forged a mighty hard crevicing tool out of VG10, really a serious knife maker's steel of choice, which was a beast to forge. I gave it a lovely sharp curved end. It's a joy to use, keeping its edge for ages. Its handle is paracord wrapped, always useful for camping. Loved our video, always interesting. All the best, Wendi

Sensational mate. That nugget is beautiful...so clean golden and pure looking. Very well deserved. It's hard to be sure about the quartz reef...it may even have completely eroded millennia ago leaving the heavier gold in the Creek and gullies with the lighter quartz washing away... or it could even be on the top of a hill somewhere buried under overburden.. who knows... Thoroughly enjoyed this production and always look forward to the weigh in. Such magnificent country down there.
