Like when Jedis travel across the galaxy for force sensitive children, they're usually around 2 to 4 years of age for which they can learn the basics at an early age in the temple. It's like for anakin who is 9 years old has to enroll into a kindergarten class for starters to learn the ways the of the jedi.
