A damn shame they messed up the Fatality input at the last second. They did the super instead and got a generic kill animation.

No matter how many time I see it, it's just wonderful. Samurai Showdown and The Last Blade where amazing. Also the button layout is A: light B: medium C: kick & D: evade or roll. Heavy attacks are done by pressing A+B.

The referee in the background is also a character you can fight against in Samurai Shodown on the original Gameboy. Very cool portable version BTW.

Dudes, it's pretty easy to do fatalities. You don't need full meter to do the Rage Explosion (ABC), you just gotta do it, but if you mess it up, you won't have the meter for the rest of the match. Then just do qcb+grab (CD)

Those fatalities aren't that hard to pull off, surprised they were having such a hard time with them. Some of them are pretty gnarly.

I don't know if it is because I grew up playing SNK fighting games like this one (they were hugely popular here in Brazil in late 90s and early 2000s) but I thought you guys were exaggerating the fuck out of the difficulty it takes to perform the fatality. It's weird to me to think of Samurai Showdown, or any other SNK original, as a "super hard to play" fighting game lol

mrcauduro I was thinking the same thing. SNK fighters to this day is my fav (due to story more than anything, funny enough). Them saying things were hard on this game blew my mind.

I used to play the shit out of Samurai Showdown IV in the arcades. I have mixed feelings about this one, they removed the Slash/Bust variation and split some characters in two instead (like Kazuki and Sogetsu) which I'm not really a fan of.

I always thought while the characters look good and fit right the controls are kinda bad and sluggish unlike Street Fighter or other SNK games. I like the idea of 3d SS but got let down on that. I do miss the games though

SSIV I think was the height of the Samsho series. had the best of everything. After that they started removing things to make room for other less interesting things. You guys want to play a great game, play Samurai Shodown IV: Amakusa's Revenge.
