SNL Tonto, Tarzan, Frankenstein's Monster Meme & Links To The Simpsons & The Land That Time Forgot

An easteregg hinting at the future Arnold Schwarzenegger film Last Action Hero (1993) may be seen in The People That Time Forgot (1977). Based on the 1800's fantasy adventure story by Edgar Rice Burroughs, this stars Sarah Douglas, later in Conan The Destroyer (1984).
Around 20 minutes into "People" the Douglas character can be seen loading film into her camera (a large golden rectangular shape) to capture an image of a Stegosaurus dinosaur. I thought this a hint to the Golden Ticket given to the boy played by Austin O'Brien in Last Action Hero. The movie-within-a movie world seen in Last Action Hero crosses over into "reality" in that film and the boy finds himself on the run and fighting off the bad guys along side his movie idol.
Actress Susan Penhaligon was in the previous film, 1974's The Land That Time Forgot. In a previous video I noted her resemblance to actor Johnny Depp. With this actor there is apparently another reference to a film with a golden ticket: Tim Burton's 2005 adaptation of Roald Dahl's Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. In this story, the candy of confectionary wizard Willy Wonka is among the world's most sought after leisures. A golden ticket is placed randomly into the candy and the ones who find it are granted a tour of the highly guarded company.
Another possible clue in the Amicus "Time Forgot" films may shed some light on an unlikely future comedy trio. From 1987 Tonto, Tarzan & Frankenstein's Monster were recurring characters on NBC late night comedy sketch show Saturday Night Live:
- Tonto was played by John Lovitz, a native American indian brave, sidekick of The Lone Ranger.
- Kevin Nealon played Tarzan, created by Edgar Rice Burroughs a feral hero raised by jungle animals.
- Frankenstein's Monster was the reanimated tragic figure of Mary Shelley's 1818 novel, portrayed on SNL by Phil Hartman.
In the fictional world of FOX TV animated sitcom The Simpsons (1989+) there are 2 entertainment figures which are worth mentioning:
- McBain: A parody of Arnold Schwarzenegger.
- Troy McClure is an often seen TV personality also voiced by Phil Hartman.
Doug McClure was the gung ho hero of original film: The Land That Time Forgot in 1974.
Johnny Depp played Tonto in the 2013 Disney adaptation of The Lone Ranger.
The People That Time forgot includes several noteworthy cast of the original Star Wars film (Episode IV: A New Hope) released the same year: 1977. These are Darth Vader actor David Prowse and Richard LeParmentier. Additionally: John Wayne was credited with a small part in Star Wars, his son Patrick played the lead in "People". Darth Vader voice James Earl Jones was later in the original Conan The Barbarian (1982). Prowse played Frankenstein's monster in James Bond spoof Casino Royale in 1967, The Horror Of Frankenstein (1970) & Frankenstein And The Monster From Hell (1974). Peter Cushing was also in the 2 Hammer films.
