49 years motor cycling. 2 accidents, both caused by drivers pulling out in front of me. Still going strong at 68. Ride safe all.

So sorry about your brother John. I've cut my road riding down as the risks were getting too high. It just dawned on me that I've been watching your channel for 12 years!

HI John, If you place an old paint brush down on top of the lathe tool point when cutting brass it stops the swarf flying everwhere, Ok it does not look so good on camera but it makes cleaning up a lot easier. Good advice Think Bike!!

A wire wheel in a bench grinder is a great way of softening off all those sharp looking machined edges, it will 'age' the part nicely.

Thanks for your time in these really good projects. Why do I think one day there will be a roller parked on the drive and not the Royce type..... happy new year to you and yours.

I totally agree with you I was hit by a Volvo on the main road he was coming out of side turning fractured Pelvis and amputated thumb and all because Lt Comamder Haythornethwaite (RN) did not look 49 Years ago!

Certainly not a job for the faint-hearted John, nicely done, messy stuff machining brass though. Good idea on milling the scallops before parting off. My thoughts to you, and your family on Robs birthday.

The fuel cap is looking good John. A real shame your brother was taken because of a car driver. I ride motor cycles and have encountered plenty of Stevie Wonders on my journeys.

67 here and still riding my ZXR750 h2 but going to a sit up and beg enduro bike for this year and the only real close 2 i had on a bike were 2 idiot volvo drivers who didnt see 2 blazing head lights from me and still pulled out of a side road to cross a dual carriage way that was restricted to 40 mph. Volvo drivers thing they are invincible i think.

Можно было и быстро режущей фрезой сделать эти сегменты, просто нужно было врезаться сверху вних, как при сверлении.
