Really great interview Sunny. I feel like you're the only content creator trying to keep LoR alive on both Twitch and YT, I know the pvp news has hurt LoR in both the competitive side and on the content creation side since most of the content revolved around ranked games. So I don't take for granted the effort you've put in for the game and I'm glad Riot sees it too. In regards to the interview, I feel like we got to understand more the devs' side of thing so I'm just hoping for more exciting content for the game.

summoning Pike would not be that good, having death from bellow is pretty good i hope they add some item to death from bellow too also transforming all +5 spell into death from bellow is kinda griefing if have good spells that you do want to use

For custom difficulty in PoC, I suggest checking out how Arknights does its Contingency Contract system, where each difficulty modifier has points ranging from 1-3 based on their level of difficulty. The player gets to choose which ones they want to add to their own runs and is rewarded for completing a run that meets a certain number of points. More varied and harder modifiers are unlocked this way as well. This lets players customise their own difficulty based on what champions or relics they have access to.

My guess for the last part of pyke’s 6 star, is that the damage of spells scale with lurk. That’d be sick.

Great interview, but what I'd really like from Path is the ability to customize my starting deck. Even if it's just change one spell and one unit (or maybe a landmark in some decks) that would be enough to make my runs more fun. I know other roguelikes don't have this feature, but given the amount of cards and archetypes LoR has it's a shame we can't bring deckbuilding to PvE.

An interesting way to do this, would be to change the first “power node” in each adventure with a “switch node”, which allows you to cut one card and replace it with one card of your own choice from your region! I’m interested to hear if that would be enough for you?

I assume that the reason it hasn't is that they don't want to spend resources, but maybe they're afraid people will come up with those broken 'free build' decks if people have too much control over their decks

i would love a "custom adventure" mode where you could define encounters from a list of existing encounters, define modifiers for the run and make your own nodes path. Could be a late/end game content mode.

The overall UI right now was a bit cluttered for me since we added many champions (keep 'em comin but needed more clarity), many types of rewards and fragments (that feel all over the place, not quite simple like it used to be) Hope they do sth about this too.

I’m actually REALLY happy with the direction the game is going and with choices the devs have made so far. The only thing I request and hope for in the future, is more champs in poc/more 6 star champs, as well as more champions to the game. I’m still waiting desperately for Blitzcrank and Alistar.

Something I'd also love to see is a weekly adventure with a leaderboard. Like rveryone competes in the same asventure using the same set champion with the same modifiers and everything in the advebture is the same for everyone and you then compete to finish the adventure with the highest score possible.

6:25 truuuue there are champs that are too slow even when six star and max level too. I feel like volibear is too slow to even go toe to toe with swain’s adventure, so it just ends up feeling bad.

One thing i think everyonebwill agree also would be very welcome now with so many xhampions in the game and so many constelations now too is Duplicate protection on quest rewards/chest rewards. So we don't constantly get blue fragments for champions we already have maxed out when we still have 100's of stars still to unlock for other champs. Overall Stardust still feels pretty useless so to be excited to get a gold chest only to then only get 50 stardust feels awful when you were really hoping for 20 fragments for a champion you need to star up. I currently only have 100 stars out of 241 available and recently have lost so many blue fragments because the rng decided to pick one of the few champs i have at 3* already.

My thought about this, is the same as like Jax and Ornn. Ornn is more control, slowly building up one or two units to become really big, and then finish the game, where as Jax is Aggressive attacking all the time, with the equipment giving a small amount of extra stats. Both of their powers in poc are reflected in this, with Jax giving a ton of attack to their equipment with the 3 star, and allowing you to sacrifice your own units just to get the attack in with the 2 star. Ornn has his 3 star which doubles the first forge each round (his powers definitely need a buff). That still fits with the “time and dedication” that Ornn’s gameplay leads into. Just like Jax and Ornn, Pyke and Reksai do a lot of the same things, so isolate what they are best at individually. Reksai is better at buffing all lurkers for just bigger stats, where as pyke is better removal with summoner spell, himself and followers. Building onto that, it wouldn’t make much sense for pyke’s 1 or 3 star to be like “lurk grants +2 instead of +1”, but it WOULD make a ton of sense for Reksai. Basically, I do believe there’s a ton of room for Reksai to shine as a more big stat focused lurker in contrast to pyke who just wants to remove the enemy. It’s a bit like Reksai is Darius (big stats go through enemy to win), and pyke is swain (remove the enemy threat before going in for the winning swing.)

I started playing poc last month. I have to say that even if im actually playing ( a lot ) more than what i did with pvp, the experience Is different from pvp, in not a Better way. I used tò play when eager, motiveted and focused now i m playing out of boredom as i did with many other time comsuming games out there. Moreover, i m not going to spend a reallife Coin to win more, nor to beat a random champ on the Path....not out of principle but because i don t think is fun.
