You can combine the shock+power charge unique body armor with a unique belt which makes you immune to shock. An interesting combo as well!:)

Also 10 frenzy flicker just released video about his aproach and he is using.... hateforge gloves. Intresting item. hidden -10 - +10 maximum rage, and you gain 3 random charges when you reach maximum rage + you lose all rage. I still think the cast on freeze seems to be superior than hateforge tech.

@@leafgreenbeast hateforge requiers investment to gain rage on hit from jewels (Need 8 rage on hit for charge generation every 3 hits with hateforge with roll of - 6 rage with gives you 24 maximum rage. 24/8 = 3). Still hateforge feels like solving 50% of the charge generation problem, while cast on freeze in compare feels like 90% problem solved. You wait 1-2 sec and you can flicker again

Idk why I can't freeze as much. Already have a flat cold on my weap and gloves but mobs always die in shocked. Any tips? Copy your whole build. Should I use Ice Strike?

I'm running the full setup with Combat Frenzy and Sniper's Mark.Specc into crit, with both Heralds, Ghost Dance and Wind Dancer, feels pretty comfy. And is usable on bosses as well as maps.

Doesn't the 6 second cooldown on sniper's mark kind of limit what it can do? Are there ways of bypassing the cooldown?

@@brianh5844 The cooldown is the biggest drawback for sure, but using the neck that gives +1 charge means that everytime either combat frenzy or sniper's mark triggers you get 2 charges, so you can ramp up very easily and consistently. You can also reduce the mark cooldown using supports for it.

Was this recorded before the trigger/meta skills nerf? Currently I'm pure lightning, would need to move some stats around before getting access to cast on freeze / profane ritual, but wanted to know if it was worth it post-nerf. I tried with Cast on Shock post-nerf and it was abysmal in generating energy, even with 2 energy-support gems

Cast on Shock is unfortunately pretty underwhelming. It's not about which element you're choosing. Literally the game is balanced to favor freeze. While they're about to nerf freeze, it won't be nerfed for fast clearing builds.

Sidenote: I'm rocking the redflare conduit, and it's not as methodical or difficult playstyle as it seems. If you visually see any stacks at all, use charged staff or falling thunder. Charged staff will stack consumed charges instead of replacing them, so even if you have 8 charged staff stacks, adding 1 will just increase the timer instead of resetting the charges to 1. Basically just constantly using charged staff every few mobs so it maintains max timer at all times . The "reset upon reaching max charges" becomes negligible at higher max charges count. I think I'm at 8 max power charges, so I think mathematically I only have 1/8 of a chance of having 0 stacks at any given time. Flicker strike specifically doesnt let you gain charges while using it, but falling thunder can gain charges AFTER using it, as the shockwaves comes out. All in all, having 0 charges 1/8th of the time doesnt really matter if you upkeep charged staff, and you can spam falling thunder as much as you want in succession, because you are more than likely gaining charges as you're using it, depending on mob size. Defenses are way too much to give up though, so I don't see this going past T5 reliably. But It is absolutely, without a doubt, the fastest way to get power stacks constantly. IMO the funnest monk can be, with high attack speed and constant charged staff, flickering from mob to mob, then auto attacking once or twice, repeat, feels immaculate.

@@snoobae8553 in this case, you mean that is most likely to not proc shock, therefore gain less energy and resulting in a less reliable CoX? I see that freeze is really solid, but in terms of activating the meta skill, shock should be the same as long as you have enough chance to shock, right?

I’m lvl 61 and use Snipers Mark/Hand of Chayula to close the gap, then get use Resonance to further generate. What I’m most interested in future video is: How good is MF? I have 78% rarity as I’m levelling and I for sure can tell the difference - many more exalts drop than before!

if your main source is ritual and you have the spirit and skill slots to spare you could add a few minions to your build whose job is simply to die to feed ritual for bosses. Also the potential to add grim remnants into that max. That's probably quite the spirit and skill slot investment though.

I noticed in game that combat frenzy's cooldown is about double what the gem says. Level 16 gem? 11 second cooldown on gaining a charge. Kinda annoying

Oh, you can definitely use more than one herald. I quite liked the thunder & ice setup. It's just not as good of survivability.

Don't frozen enemies shatter and doesn't shatter destroy the corpse? How does. Profane ritual work with that then?

That should be right. I'm guessing not every enemy corpse is actually getting shattered, only some of them.

There is amulet that gives 1 more charge when you generate one, about 10 ex item. I was thinking about using it with notable for 5% to get full charges, but when i saw the ritual thingi on cast when freeze i abbadon idea imidietly. Now i need to solve issue of being chayula monk, not invoker.... Can i try playing pure phys flicker with charged staff just for shock/freeze and generate energy that way? I hope soo.... ​@@snoobae8553 No way. Flicker strike first. Check what they both do when qualitied. Flicker strike: (0-20)% Chance to not remove Charges on use Tempest Flurry: +(0-4) to Melee Strike Range The extra range is nice but the ability to not use a charge means that you can get massive flicker runs.

Yes, but other forms of resist reduce still work, like Exposure and curses.

I do have an actual question - when going through the campaign (I do have my 2nd Asc and only have about 87 spirit right now) which do you think is better to to level with as far as getting power charges? I’m currently just hard casting profane ritual and it’s a little annoying but if I were to use CoF or RI I would lose access to herald aura. I’m a noob so go easy on me. Lol! Go Reaper's Invocation and put Profane + Profusion support in there. You have to click it still, but no cast time and it's the best setup while leveling early.

It's not very important, but you missed the Siphoning Wand base type, which is available as early as Act 1. It grants Power Siphon as its innate skill, which (in PoE2) is basically a ranged version of killing palm that can't be interrupted by another enemy walking between you and your target.

I have 205 spirit. It's just 100 + a chest that has over 2000 Evasion (with the Monk ascendancy point that adds spirit per evasion on chest).

Oh, I haven’t crunched numbers or anything, but I feel like it’s a pretty bad idea to try and prioritize crit early on because you have to sacrifice majorly valuable and few passive points you have until higher level. And as far as gearing, I’m having a tough time capping resistances as is. If I went for crit rolls on gear it’d be even harder. One good benchmark would be when you get a GG weapon with double crit and IAS. Then it would make more sense. Good luck finding a great 6-modded Quarterstaff though.

You can go back to reaper if it’s better. Maybe I’m not shattering too many. You might want to try Elemental Invocation actually.

You missed something thats very important with the "snipers mark" if you put it on "cast on crit" it should proc with flickerstricke crits. So in theory you should be able to cast flicker stricke into flickerstrike indefinently if your crit chance is high enough. Only way to generate frenzy/power charges very reliably i think. havent seen anyone do this yet tho, so im not 100% sure it works. I will try it when i get some neat gear later down the road.

I tried CoC snipers mark (not with flicker tho) and it felt pretty crappy. It only really works on rares and bosses. It's nice that the cast speed is low so the energy required for proc is low but it still respects the cooldown so CoC just sits at 100% a lot. Then for clearing what typically happens is that the mark is not cast for whatever reason or when it's cast it's on low hp enemy that has a 50% chance (in my case) to die from a non-crit -> wasted mark. It really felt much worse than profane ritual. Even self casting or hand of chayula with snipers mark felt way better.

I cant lie im getting bored of monk, just feels boring to play since all of the fun skills are locked behind charges. You look at mage or ranger and they can spam fire most of their fun abilities with mana, most of monks abilities however take a lot of mana and power charges..... And most of the abilities, lets be honest... are just differet versions of palm strike..... theres one with a wind attack.... one with lightning.... one for curses etc.... Just getting bored now. I really wanted to use the whirlwind skill but its awful.

Sorry I don’t quite understand your concern. Charged staff is not to be put in the cast on meta gem. It goes on its own separate skill slot and can have additional supports.
