These are very good tips and drills. I like the calm manner that you speak but are not boring. I for sure do something to miss in critical situations. I'm very careful, very conscious, and often wrong >:( Brett from Eagan, Minnesota USA

Good tips, will try it. Over the time I unconsciously changed my technique to the worse so that I can't pot straight balls at medium distance, which was working mostly fine in the past. I assume I move the cue to the left when striking but I need to find out the exact reason.

It can be difficult to know exactly what you are doing on a shot. This can make things challenging

The trick is to cue through the ball as if it were not there, a lot easier said than done but I promise when you look back at good form that's what you were doing right.
@ksportz663 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Any tips on trying this appreciated. If i just cue with no cue ball it feels consistent (finish point distance). With a ball i seem to either stop the follow through short or follow way past. Strangly the same problem for me in golf. Practice swings seem great then .. 😳 Do you think hitting the cue ball too hard is a factor?
@TheFlyingdeuces3 жыл бұрын
@@ksportz66 With your golf swing you pull back like a coiled spring slowly and then release through the ball, the tension required for the shot being there when you visualized the shot. Same idea with snooker. Then to build up a rhythm do everything as if it were in slow motion, like having a wet shave, taking 100% care and concentration. Hope this helps.

Hi, when i try to hold the cue with my chin i find the cue very short, only shot i can take when the cue ball is next to the cushion. Is it because I'm short (5ft2). My cue is 57". What size cue do i really need? Tip size? Weight? Sometimes i find it easy using the butt all the time, only downside is tge cue becomes very heavy.

It seems about the right size the rest of it is just about feeling right

ill have to put an afternoon aside and try this. i honestly need to work out what is causing my cueing issues. i even tried a coaching and the coach couldnt work it out either so i gave up. when a 5 time world champion says i dont know. then you know your a lost cause lol

my cue is below nipple and the cue is very parrarel to the table, and i have alignment issue, the cue butt offline to left side of me ( im right hander) tried every stance, body position nothing is fixing this alignement issue. should i bring my cue as high as i can so that the cue is way above the nipple?
