My wife is a Xhosa from Khayelithsa, so I know a few things about Brenda. The talent and the quality of Brenda is undisputed, but it is not fair to forget Louis Armstrong, Lighnin' Hopkins, Tina Turner and the Temptations... they all are Americans and really good artists too. Brenda's best songs are all sung in Xhosa, it is quite difficult for me as a white South African to understand her culture and for a foreigner it will be even harder. They need translation and background information.
