There is a feeling and a weight in legacy rap that is unmatched by the downward decline of HipHop today, while there are some diamonds in the rough it doesn't hold a candle to what was (the 80's and 90's might have been peek music). These rappers aren't just singers, they are literal pillars to a genre that is so authentic in its feeling that it still holds up to the totally shithole modern hip-hop has become. The single best thing about music is you can listen to the past and it transports you immediately. This could play for an hour, goat after goat, Pilar after Pilar, and I wouldn't get bored. They're architects of a sound that stood for something, you feel the passion and respect the impact. And to see so many getting back into it decade later to keep that alive - it might just be the rose amongst the thorns. I farken love legacy hip-hop.
