@KAYTONE1 ah yes. The song where he dies at the end in a prison attack is about how he sold his soul. He also died in prison, was shot down in a parking lot and also a building cause they had to break in. It's very well documented that snoop dogg had to recover and spent time in a hospital and wheelchair as he learned to walk again after being killed and magically coming back to life

@topspot4834 Жыл бұрын
He beat it for two reasons ... One, the LAPD's complete incompetence handling the crime scene. They made so many mistakes that Snoop's lawyer (David Kenner) easily exposed them. Second, a racially diverse jury, at a time in LA where police were being exposed for discrimination, racial profiling, and making false arrests ... I don't know the California laws, but at the very least Snoop was an accomplice, cause dude in the car with him shot that Philip guy, and there was no proof that it was self defense. End of the day, Snoop got extremely lucky, cause if that happened just 5 years earlier he'd still be in prison. The climate in the US, and especially Los Angeles with the LAPD, there was so much doubt in jury's minds. And not just Snoop, but many other similar cases resulted in not guilty verdicts. Just look at OJ.

Have you heard Snoops "features" on other peoples tracks the last 20 years? It's all some version "Ey, it's me the S-N-double-O-P to the D-izzle and I'm high." That's roughly it for all his features. And he has openly said that he charges half a million dollars for a 20 second feature of rehashed material like that to come on someone else's track. This song was before that though. This song came about because his body guard killed an ex-rival of his from back in his drug dealing days. He was accused of murder but was let loose since they couldn't prove it.
@newjack19823 жыл бұрын
He was on trial for murder during this song and it was a metaphor on how things could go if he gave in. I don’t believe he sold his soul. He was basically broke until master P saved him.

According to genius Snoop explains that his song “Murder Was The Case” was about a gangsta who was saved by God and instead of doing the right thing, the gangsta does the wrong thing and pays for it. Once again, “Murder Was The Case” was NOT about devil-worshipping or anything like that. He meant for the song to teach a lesson.

Snoop loves movies. A lot of the ideas in this video were from one of my all time favorite movies "Angel Heart" with Mickey Rourke. The devil character in this was obviouslty influenced by Deniros character portraying the devil. I think Snoop was just trying to make a theatrical video. BTW a must see movie. Only real part was that he was actually on trial for murder at one point. Another fun fact... Snoop wrote the lyrics to "Aint Nuthin But a G Thang" while in jail...Dre was communicating with him.
