I'm surprised they didn't make Leslie Nielson's character the same one from the Naked Gun movies, given the people behind his movie were the ones who wrote the first two of that series and given they're also slapstick, they could co-exist in the same world. The line at the end when he knocks Tabitha down the well ("We're all counting on you, good luck") is a reference to the movie "Airplane!" that Leslie also starred in written and directed by the same people who did this and the first two Naked Gun movies.

The "good luck, we are all counting on you" was a shout out to "Airplane", the first comedy Leslie Nielsen ever made. Before that, he was a dramatic actor. Also, one of the cameos I liked a lot was George Carlin. The best comedian I have ever seen. He was capable of presenting a theme that would make you question your beliefs, while making you roll in the ground with laughs.

This is my favourite in the franchise. I only saw Signs for the first time a few months ago, but because it made me think of this film it constantly made me laugh, i'm guessing the same will happen when i eventually watch The Ring.

It's a shame y'all missed seeing 3.5, the unrated cut, but this was still a fun reaction. Honestly, at this point, I say just watch the rest of them, even though part 5 is the weakest one by comparison, I feel your reactions to how dumb it is would still be funny. Still beats nearly all the other "movie" movies.

Good reaction! Also, forgive me for my lack of knowledge of what happened with the films after Scary Movie 2 when the Wayans had the series taken away from them in the premiere chat. I wasn't really big on the series then and had just gotten back to it as of recently after regaining interest which is why atm I'm rusty with what happened (I mistakenly said that they moved on after 2, which they didn't). I apologize for it, and I will try to do better with my research next time so it won't happen again. However my point still stands that even though The Wayans Bros had no involvement with the series after Scary Movie 2, the third movie was still funny and I don't really get the hate that it actually deserves.

You can tell this is done by the people behind the Naked Gun Trilogy (It’s actually really solid for a parody) Scary Movie 4 is imo the last sequel worth watching (It’s one of those Series that was milked to the point it damaged the entire series) 1-4 are all very good for different reasons! but, due to the over saturation people tend to just write of all the films
