How can I resist craft kits from Japan? I picked up these three Snoopy and the Peanuts gang kumi-tera craft kits by Kawada. The plastic sheets slot into each other to show off a Peanuts comic strip with a character cutout in front. An LED light stand sets off the stained-glass-like scene, or I can display it in front of a window. We have Snoopy the Flying Ace, Charlie Brown hugging Snoopy, plus Snoopy hugging Woodstock.

This video reminded me of a vintage Peanuts toy from the late 70’s or early 80’s. I remember it being like an inclosed stage made of clear plexiglass type plastic and there were Peanuts characters screen printed on thin plexiglass type plastic that you could move back and forth on the enclosed stage. Have you ever seen something like that? It’s driving me crazy because I can’t find it anywhere. Did I dream this up? I remember it distinctly because I got the pieces stuck behind the screen and my mom yelled at me for breaking it.
