Snorkeling at Trou Aux Biches

Très belle vidéo! Nous sommes actuellement à l´ile Maurice et lorsque nous avons été à Trou aux biches cet après midi nous n’avons pas du tout trouvé de récifs de corails comme sur votre vidéo... il faut aller loin pour les trouver ? quels sont vos réglages de gopro pour avoir un rendu pareil? Car l’eau est trouble a trou aux biches et impossible d’avoir un rendu aussi nette pour moi avec ma gopro HERO7 Black 7... Merci d’avance 😊

Merci pour votre commentaire, j'ai filmé le corail que vous voyez dans la vidéo dans le lagon devant La Belle Plage, ce n'est pas très loin, regardez sur Google Maps les images satalites avant de nager, le corail est sombre dans l'eau. Il y a eu beaucoup de blanchissement des coraux cet été, il a donc l'air moins sain que ma vidéo, mais beaucoup de choses se sont déjà rétablies. Malheureusement, les conditions étaient mauvaises aujourd'hui, mais je pense que le temps sera meilleur demain. Les conditions de clarté de l'eau varient donc cela dépend de la chance du jour. En ce qui concerne le réglage GoPro, cette vidéo montre les paramètres que j'utilise. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4aZk39nhciroZo . Si vous souhaitez que les prises de vue stables se filment en nageant, remplissez une chaussette de sable et utilisez-la pour alourdir votre appareil photo en l'enroulant autour de la poignée de votre appareil photo. Placez la caméra au fond de l'océan et nagez devant votre caméra.

Nice vid! Did you go on your own or with a boat? And if you swam on your own, how far was it from the shore? Aren't there any dangerous creatures? Are there any sea urchin so I need to wear water shoes? We're planning to go there with family so im asking☺️☺️

Hi Ivy, I swam from the shore. It's not far to see coral. You just need to be aware of boats close to shore, so it's best to go earlier in the morning to be about of the water by 9am. Dangerous creatures, not really. There are no sharks, and there is nothing that would go out of its way to sting or hurt you. The most dangerous thing is the stonefish. You must only be careful to not stand on rocks or corals only put your feet down on sand. In my 15 month stay in Mauritius I only ever saw one. If you put your feet down always watch yourself put down your feet to make sure you do not damage the reef or yourself. I would recommend practicing snorkelling in a swimming pool beforehand if you have not done snorkelling before. It will make for a much more enjoyable experience. There are sea urchins but if you are practiced in snorkelling you can easily avoid them, I recommend swimming fins for your feet as it will make your swimming stronger and safer. If you provide me an email I will happily point out some areas that are great for snorkelling.

I don't necessarily need swimming fins, I'd rather use swimming shoes,are they also effective? Will I avoid sea urchins harms with them? Andd I'll be only staying at trou aux biches so you can give me some advice about nice snorkeling spots there! Where the turtles and rich sea marine is etc. I'm experienced in snorkeling by the way but I guess it will be easier to take a 1 hour boat trip for example to get there, I don't wanna risk swimming since I will be staying there with my mum who is not that good swimmer! If you maybe know the prize for boat rent on tour aux biches? 30 minutes would be pretty enough, do they offer short trips like this too? Thank you so much!
