Good views. What month you filmed this at Hanifaru Bay? December? I read mantas come there only in summer, low season for Maldives
@theresortcollection Жыл бұрын
It was in November at Hanifaru :) They are here between August and end of November usually.

When exactly have you been there for the Mantas? My wife and I will go to Vakkaru 08.11.-18.11. and we are unsure if the Mantas will still be there.

We went in late November and were extremely lucky to be able to see so many. My sister and her boyfriend went early December and could not see them. I would hope that early November, your chances of seeing them are still pretty high! :)

@@theresortcollectionwould you recommend flying in august? i read there are big waves at this time
@theresortcollection Жыл бұрын
Been twice in August for 3 weeks, it was not more wavy than any other moment. It just depends, can be good, can be bad, weather in the Maldives is extremely unpredictable ...

There is some fish to watch, but the reefs look totally dead!
@theresortcollection3 жыл бұрын
We totally agree... unfortunately, the reefs are the same everywhere in the Maldives since 2016 :/ Yet, there's some hope. It's been almost improving over the last year, the corals are slowly adapting to warmer sea temperatures so hopefully in the coming year there will be more coral life below the surface :)
