I used to live in Panama City bout 20 yrs ago, lol...loved that area, and snorkeling between the 2 sandbars on the beach...gorgeous Angelfish!...we used to wade the beach in Fall when the sand dollars were breeding, pick up 50 or more for our Christmas tree

Exactly where in st andrew was this? I went there but it was above knee level unless you got really really far in, and even then i didnt see any of the cool rocks and fish

@@Maria-tl9lw follow the signs to the jetty store when you enter the park and then walk to the beach area. You'll see the rocks of the jetty. You can snorkel all around them. Let me know if you have any other questions. 😉

I’ll be going there in March hopefully any tips for my girlfriend and I? I don’t think she has been snorkeling before. Also a little worried about water temperature. Love your videos!

Thanks so much! Glad you enjoy my videos. The average water temp in March is a cool 66 and depends on your tolerance. For comparison, I snorkel in the Florida springs without a wetsuit and they are around 68 all year round, but my wife needs the water at least high 70's www.surf-forecast.com/breaks/Panama-City-Beach/seatemp. If you are new to snorkeling I suggest you purchase a purchase a mid-range mask (tempered glass), fin and snorkel set (around $50.. Amazon, Walmart, Target.. check reviews). A few important tips, if the mask is new.. rub old school toothpaste (not gel) inside the mask to remove the factory film that can cause fogging. Before going in make sure the mask ss adjusted properly.. not to tight and not to loose, both will cause leaks. You want the mask to be snug and then you will feel a slight suction which will help keep the water out. Then to keep the mask from fogging spray the inside of the mask with a small spray bottle filled with water and a few drops of baby shampoo. Quickly rinse the inside of the mask and put it on and you should stay fog free until you take it off. If your girlfriend has not snorkeled before, I suggest sitting in the shallow water near the beach with mask and snorkel on and placing your face down under the water until you get acclimated to the mask and breathing through the snorkel. As she feels comfortable she can start swimming around and exploring. Loving your videos. We live in Mo. so getting to the beach is a bit of a drive. Just curious have you snorkeled PCB in March? I'm bringing some 17 year old boys and hope to not freeze too bad. Looking at wet suit rentals. Do you snorkel the channel side of the jetties or stay mostly to the beach side? and last question, do you use a red filter on your camera? Thanks for identifying the fish that's a great touch.

Thanks so much! March is a little cool.. average water temp is 66. I like to snorkel both sides of the jetty. A filter is not needed for surface snorkeling, the deeper parts I color correct in post using software. Glad you like my videos. 😁
