During a spell of rainy weather, Snorkmainden has crammed herself with stories about princesses and chivalrous knights. On the first sunny day, she and Moomin climb a mountain, where Snorkmaiden sees what she believes is, an Edelweiss. Needless to say, it isn't (no such things in Moominvalley), but they have to climb down to get it. Snorkmaiden slips, rolls down the mountainside and winds up in a faint. When she comes to she has forgotten all, and thinks she is of royal blood...

If there's one thing I learned about Little My, she's very much a chaotic good. When the other characters try to solve an issue as peacefully as possible, she'll solve it in the simplest way possible, even if it means she has to break something.

I love the attention to detail with the water container. Most cartoons would be like “presto changeo, a container”. This one actually made it believable. And moomin even chose an already dead birch to get the bark from, instead of ringing (and ultimately killing) a live tree.

Snufkin is very well mannered and educated. I'm starting to think that his was in an intership for rich boys and he hated it, with all the rules and everything, and he managed to escape and live his life as a nomadic. That will explain his elegance wearing ragged clothes and his calm and cultured behaviour. Also his hate for the rules. Mmm is there any place where you can dig in Snufkin's past?

I wonder what the answer to Sniffs riddle was? Did Snorkmaiden really bump her head or was this a foolish game? It's hard to gage the ages of the children (Snufkin often called 13 and 30 at the same time) but I read Snorkmaiden would have to be at least 18 as she used the casino in Moomins on the Riviera and in France you have to be at least 18.
