Snot is only snot until u use "snot" bricks. Once u do this u will have studs on top again. I say we switch the acronym to bots for bricks on their sides which is correct. We could also say pots for pieces on their sides.

What a great video, in the ninjago docks it comes with side ways window picies with stickers( like posters) and i have done an other extension on my ninjago city using houses with the posters using this technique. There was somethings that i was still trying to figure out but with video was relly useful, this is just basic maths now that i think of it. :) nice

dang son, haven't commented on one of your videos in months, but I can say that this is a cool tip, thanks. I am working on my 10 stud wide CSX Cargo Train, but still waiting for parts to arrive as they are stuck at the border at Calais :)

Love the pro tips Daryl! I'd like to see you do similar videos on traffic lights, utilities/telephone poles, conduit on buildings, scaffolding, and any tips you have on prying plates off of base plates or from each other without tearing up your fingers. Thanks!

Would it technically not be stanottotb, studs that are not on the top of the brick? Or is the bad grammar just to make it sound like a dirty joke?

@@BevinsBricksWorldI didn’t mean you, it’s just that everyone uses the SNOT acronyms, without thinking if it’s actually accurate. 😅

One thing the Tyco bricks were good for, instead of 1/3 block their plates were 1/2 block thickness.

Thanks for making this a simple subject. Is there a way to simplify how we think of using modified bricks with studs on the side when stacking them vertically and still having them line up with the long plate or tile we want to put on them?

This blew my mind when I learned this a couple years ago. I put a 2x2 tile on a 2x2 brick with a 2x2 plate underneath and just marveled at the cube I had created.
