Snow and Ice Extent: May - July 2020

Here's a visualization of Arctic ice extent in July 2020, the lowest observed for the date. Infrared and microwave data from multiple satellites including the NOAA's geostationary and polar-orbiting satellite sensors is combined to create maps of global snow and ice cover of the planet.
