I couldnt take it anymore. Digging out almost everyday took its toll. So now its warm weather during the winter months in the south. I only come back to visit in the summer months. Its great to see neighbors giving helping hands to one another. Didnt see much of that growing up in Rochester because its definitely needed each winter.

Neighbors helping neighbors? That's nothing new for Rochester NY That attitude goes all the way back to the Blizzard of 66' I grew up in Rochester So I am not surprised to hear about the brotherly love that was prevalent. I now live in Green Bay WI and all I can say about that is Go Bills! I'd like to say Hats Off to the Rochester Fire Dept When I worked for the Rochester D P W away back in 1974 I worked in the Holly Pump Station, 78 Browns Race That station pumped the water to all the hydrants in the downtown area. We also had to keep the pressure up when their was a fire. All the Holly Hydrants were marked with a painted white top on the yellow hydrant So we had to listen to the fire radio. We had a fire Dept joker that punched out a code telling us if the fire call was in our sector, so that we would be ready for action. I said all that to say this. From the time the alarm was sounded and they called over the radio' what Engines and Trucks were ordered to respond. It took only 3 minutes for them to arrive on the scene. Three Minutes with 100% Consistency
