gender and size and species most likely like no female crabs and only male crabs over a certain size

How deep is the crab? Or the bering sea in general? Cuz the crab isn't that deep at all.

why do y'all walk on the crab you know how many people would love to have the ones you walking on a killing to eat and why do y'all leave a lot of the crab in the pots instead of taking them all out ??? what a waste you know if you take all the crab out the pots you will have a bigger catch and they won't eat your bait that means more new crab will come and the same ones in the pots you left want eat all your bait

Nah, it works the same as fishing, ya fish where the small fish might be and ya don't catch those fishes just yet because once you chum the water or throw some feathers down, both the chum and the smaller fish feeding/thrashing on hook attracts bigger fish.
