Although I’ll always prefer the original BW skin, it’s fun to watch a game in the Carbot skin every 1-2 months to mix things up every once in a while. Those zerglings look so adorable prancing around the map 😂

That was a truly amazing game. The back and forth between both players was insane and I honestly could not make a call on who was ahead for most of the match. Also, this might just be because despite playing Brood War for 22 years I'm still a noob but I don't understand why Restoration isn't more common. Sure it's wasted on Marines but for Science Vessels or even Battlecruisers it would be a life saver.

Dark swarm combined with plague makes the defiler such an absolute cancer. Because it's mandatory for every Zerg ever, FIREBATS should be half of all your infantry troopers as TK Terran when fighting Zerg.

Nah man. Marines kill things faster. Terran should avoid being under dark swarm unless it benefits them. Less firebats means more science vessels, it may not seem like much but you can make 9 firebats for the cost of one vessel, and a vessel without energy upgrade can have 2 irradiates, 3 with it. 9 firebats vs two lurkers=guaranteed firebat death in all circumstances. 1 vessel vs 2 lurkers=lurker death every time. This is why you dont see firebats used except in small numbers. They can hit hard in early game but once vessels are out, its better to spend the gas on vessels, theyre an end game unit and if you can keep them alive they bring way more guaranteed damage.

Not to mention microing firebats so they dont run into things you irradiated…and upgrades dont scale. Irradiate does what…250 damage (I think??) regardless of upgrades, which is massive.

@@cantthinkanameup And given the speed you can lose that one vessel, and the level of damage 9 bats can do even under dark-swarm, a mix of marines and bats with vessels to support does a lot of damage - simply allocate every second vessel's gas to a group of bats. The number of times in this video alone the lack of bats showed through clearly is remarkable.

9 firebats still barely come out ahead vs 1 ultralisk. Im not sure how you figure firebats out perform a science vessel in the long run, and irradiating melee units when you have firebats in your comp means the firebats will likely be taking irradiate damage, which means immediate firebat death. I will say firebats have their place in the earlier game before vessels are out, and in certain strategic instances (like drops). But if your vessel lives long enough to irradiate even a single defiler, it paid for itself.

@@cantthinkanameup And the vessels job is to irradiate and kill whatever targets they find before big battles. Defense matrix works wonderfully on a firebat or two to hold off lings and ultras. Vessels have more uses than just irradiate, and you would obviously not send the bats into melee with the irradiated ultra
