Level design looks tight and challenging. One thing I really like in a Crash level is when I'm awarded with invincibility for playing really well through the stage, being able to hold level 2 Aku Aku through lots of challenging spots until I attain the 3rd mask and blast through areas with invincibility having a good time. Your level pretty much has that which is awesome!

Many spots are close to crashing actually, one spot can crash on ps1. There are around 500+ more objects available, which are all gonna be used.

Stormy has given me so much shit, I speedran Crash 1 prototype for a bit and the third island levels are all the last thing you want to play at the end, since they are all so easy to mess up.

Yeah I tried to not hide stuff, the only things that are off-screen are 2 pairs of boxes in the dark area, right above arrow crates, which make it obvious theres stuff up there. I'm more worried about the tnts, there are times when they dont blow stuff up.

Create the single most complicated level in Crash history, or just mod Crash 2 so that every single level is a unique variation of Snow No. 2. Hey thx, i really appreciate it. I dont think i will be making more like these, but there will be custom levels possible soon, so its not that much of a loss. I really dont like when i have to do something otherwise it doesnt work (aka forced gameplay), I used to make mods that way too, then realised its not fun. In this one I tried to make every "puzzle" or whatever, you name it, approachable in a bunch of different ways, while still keeping the level relatively hard over all. I would also recommend having a look at "airumu". He has not made anything recently, but he is making something in a similar fashion to this - an all-in-one sewer level, its still in an early stage, but its very promising. There are also some old mods of his that are great, even though they perhaps push you into playing specifically. What I'll be doing with this is making two builds, one of it being a regular Crash 2 PAL rom with this level replacing the secret Snow Go entrance, the other one only having this level and some other inevitable stuff, preferably with a really fast and convenient way to reset, such as leaving and entering to/from the title screen directly. Crash Team Racing bonus XD I think I could transpose that to the correct instrument pitch. Also, that is such a huge parkour level. I like it how you made those gem platforms that fly all the way behind into the mirror dimension XD What a joke. And a Pura and a Uka Uka there. That's surely a portal. Some weird space-time glitches happen. Maybe that Uka Uka is in his prison before the Cortex Vortex crashes there to release him in Crash 3 intro.

I dont really know how the track should be, but I dont think any changes to it are necessary. Yeah theres quite a lot to do in this level. The mirrors break when the level ID is changed, which makes space and pretty much calls for some use of them, with some additional collision and access to them they can be quite fun. Or in the case of the main 2D segment they can be a nice place for eye candy objects. Dunno how I would explain uka uka there, we can pretend the tigers arent Pura at least tho.

I'm really interested in playing the earlier builds of Crash 2 & 3. I read somewhere that early builds of the PS1 Crash games are protected by dongles. Other than demos & images on the web, we've yet to see a physical alpha/early beta release of Crash 2 & 3, as well as CTR. A CTR beta exists that is currently being cracked and I'm assuming the others exist and are either still protected or, worst case scenario, lost or misplaced.

I don't understand the process of Crash modding myself, but it's just that. Aversatrix takes a level and moves the objects that are placed within around, adding new ones or changing warps as desired. Presumably it has to do with editing whatever files the game uses to store levels.

It is not quite designing, its recycling, cloning and adding stuff and so. Most of it is done with an editor thats been out for quite a while, but theres still some manual or tedious stuff you have to do to make it work, in the editor or in a hex editor. Basically I take stuff from other levels or stuff from the level itself add/clone it and/or change it.

Wow... this is awesome. I have learn to change only the type of boxes in the game levels, but not the content in it. How do you manage to do that teleports between the various levels in one level only? And how do you increase the maximum counter of the total boxes needed to take the gem?

Its one level where I imported all the stuff that makes up the added segments, not couple of separate levels. The teleports are similar to usual in-level transitions.
