Love this! Thinking of going this winter! Do you have any tips for driving during the winter in this area? I've never driven with snow on the ground during winter, and Google can only help so much. Would love to hear from someone who actually drove it.

We have a four wheel drive... so no problem. It wasn't that deep. The roads are kept pretty clear. The roads around Cloudcroft are usually clear the next day or the day after that for a heavy snow. Drive slow and check on the roads ahead of time. There is a Cloudcroft Webcam, so you can check the roads on the KZbin channel. Be very careful about renting a cabin too far away from Cloudcroft and DEFINITELY ask if you need a 4-wheel truck to get there.
