Not that it's a Geddy Lee bass line, but as a beginner, I'm pleased that I had already worked out this by ear. And I play it EXACTLY the same as you. I'd seen some other tutorial on here, and he was playing ghost notes all over the place that didn't belong there. I was thinking "it doesn't go like that!". Thanks for confirming, I'd got it right. I now play this live, whilst singing it. Great song. Not about the complexity, but about the dynamics.
