Ah the window to capture the Biei Blue Pond surrounded by snow is super short - after the first or second snowfall of the season, but before the pond freezes over, thats usually around early December! I know photographers who watch the forecast all through November and head up there when the first snow pops up on the forecast just to get that shot lol. Cant beat Hokkaido in the winter though eh.

Benjamin Beechey haha yeah we figured as much but we were only 20 mins away so may as well just check. I remember seeing someone else’s vlog was the same as what we got haha. It looks so good white and blue.
