The snow needs to be fresh. You plough it the next morning, not days later when it's frozen and icy.

What an absolutely superb video ! The snow and cat are not to scale :( ;) For one - it's a great layout - containing unexpected detail, particularly the 'night' shots. The snowplough action was impressive - with some snow being sent some distance and it being an effective way to clear the track The interaction of the cat - following freshly cleared path, etc. was great And the general snow scene was brilliant too - loved the way there were patches stuck to the sides of the loco - and the snow was just the perfect depth - clearable while being 'very deep' at scale. I'll be pointing a few people in this video's direction !

It is one of these giant cats about 3 times as big as the locomotive. They are occasionally found close to the tunnel of Kandersteg in Berner Oberland. These cats are very friendly and would never harm a train. However, lions and tigers can be happy not to live there because the Swiss Giant Cat (SGC) would quickly eradicate them. Due to civilization, the SGC is estimated to count only 150 animals left.

I am still in awe of the fact that your electricity behaves so well with snow and that they snow allows the electricity to flow without shorting across the tracks. Our snow is not as nice! At 2:04 you could fool a lot of people with that short clip into thinking it was real and not a scale model train.
