I live in the Sangre de Cristo mountains, and our first snowfall was 3 feet. But New Jersey snow is rare, so I think it was a needed call.

So far we have 26 inches of compact snow (in WV), been having snow/rain/ice for the past 8 days with another storm heading at us with up to another 8 inches, the 3rd storm Cora...snow expected to be every day for the next 10. We might get a break Sunday but not holding my breath lol Most days haven't gotten above 20 F except the few that netted us some rain and/or ice before reverting back to snow. Been a long while since we have seen anything like this. Great for the environment, good for killing off pests but dang! Enjoy, the kids here are stoked to have had their Christmas vacation extended 😊

When I was a young one back in the 60's we lived on Bala Drive near the parkway exit and we would sled down the gigantic parkway hills. We could get there without crossing the parkway itself. We also would use the hills to go down on big pieces of cardboard in the summer, still pretty fast when you didn't have Snow.

I have a mostly indoor dog (4 lb tiny mighty) and no kids and I still use pet friendly snow melt. The animals have it hard enough in the winter! Glad to see the kids within you and Sammie J are still enjoying a snow day!✌️❤️

Awesome day with family fun. We are supposed to get a snow storm Thursday night Friday morning here in western Tennessee. I've seen it snow here as early as Halloween and as late as Easter. We, like you usually get 1 snow with accumulation each season but then once ever 10 years or so we get a real winter storm with mega snow (to us that is 4-6 inches, but one year we got 14 inches). This one, they say will be heavy snowfall with 4 - 6 inches accumulation. When I was a younger I loved playing in the snow, sledding, snow forts with snow ball fights and building snowmen. I'll always be a kid at heart and wish that I could be out doing that now, but now I sit at home and just watch it fall. I have nowhere to go or nowhere to be, so I just watch from my warm recliner, snuggled up in a fuzzy blanket. Thank you for sharing your snow fun with a shut in. See you next time.

The day after Thanksgiving we got over 6 feet of snow in one day and it just kept coming for days. Took us 3 days of digging out just to get out of the drive. Love this video.

I love all your videos I have been dumpster diving since I was a kid and have lots of fun at it .I used to think I was saving stuffed animals I go walking up and down the streets when I was about 8 maybe until I was 12 rescuing stuffed animals throwing them in the washing machine until my mother finally figured it out where I was getting all the stuffed animals laughing my ass off. Tucker a blizzard has to have over 35 mph winds and visibility is low, you just got snow. We had 3" here in Iowa last Thursday, you couldn't see across the street 45 mph wind

You installed the insulation wrong, my friend. The paper must be facing down to prevent moisture from forming on the pink side. If you keep it the way you installed it , I promise you will moisture will invade the pink insulation, mold will grow out of control. after you have removed and installed correctly, staple the sides to the floor 2x12s. Make sure you do this correctly leaving no gaps, staples every 12 inches, and don't shove the insulation up tightly, or you will interfere with the R-Value. I'm a contractor with 30 years experience

That's why the papers is wider so you can staple it to the boards, i never put paper face down, pink goes against the ceiling/Floor and staple the outside paper.

I’m not saying you’re wrong and I was thinking the same thing before I began but started doing pretty extensive research and almost every blog I read or video I saw had them installing in a crawl space with face side toward where the what was being generated. I also posted a previous video of installing some and there was a lot of comments saying to install it face side toward the floor like I did in this video.

Here’s a comment I found in a blog and makes a lot of sense to me “The object of the paper face on insulation is to stop moisture from entering the wall cavity (thus "vapor barrier"). Insulation with paper face is always positioned towards the warm (in winter) side of the room” Again not my response just looking at info I’m finding online.

I used to stock the lumber department at Home Depot and usually they do that because they are getting the merchandise ready for night crew to put away when they get there, it's because of the snow...more than likely that's all stock that just came in that day.

magnesium chloride is the best for ice. usually a local hardware place carries it not home cheapo. you put it down, leave it for a while then come back and shovel away. it is expensive but it works great.

We had some ice and a skiff of snow in South Central Kentucky with the first storm Sunday/Monday. Expecting a few inches Friday. It's bitterly cold here now. We don't get snow every year.I have 2 feral cats I feed in addition to my inside cats. I worry about them out there. They do have an insulated house on the porch, but they aren't out there tonight. Just hope they are somewhere warm. The low is supposed to be 9 degrees tonight.
