I think this is what this cashes in on was a time that people were together more. This music stopped being a thing after 2012 in North America. I was born in 1995 (as in between a millennial and a zoomer as you can be) and it’s a very millennial sound. They had that iconic party culture that played a lot of songs that fed into club culture or about clubbing. It makes me sad because our generation is so lonely. This song reminds me of a time that people lived in the moment and didn’t think about their problems.

yeah i thought this too it has that sort of 2007 emo undercurrent in its styling, some how its capturing that vibe of the era and it made me feel and have it come alive again, even though you wouldn’t explicitly say this is an “emo” song. this girl is around the same age as me so she probably remembers the time period and its style/ mannerism, which is hard to describe and harder to nail down . extremely well done.
