I'm a country girl at heart, but live in a city. Ugh! But I've had blue heelers since I got married in 1988. My husband worked construction and his heeler went everywhere with him, till I came along. She got pregnant and i was pregnant. So we bonded, in the cool of the house. She became mine, or i had say so. I tend to spoil and pamper, but she would also herd my blind deaf dog. She'd bring him home, when he'd wonder. I saw the pure intelligence and dedication these dogs have. After my child was born, she had one hell of a body guard. The dog would even play in the sand box with my daughter. She loved burying my heeler in sand. She'd lay as long as my daughter wanted. Just knew it was her duty, somehow. She'd lay on her back and wait for buckets of sand lol. I've had a heeler since. I also have a border collie heeler mix. So smart! They love hiking and kayaking with me. Great camp dogs. Never leave my sight. They understand human speech. Snow is amazing! Kelpie?? My spelling my be off. Now I want one. We plan to move to the mountains, and I'll have a small amount of farm animals. I love you Roy Cox!!! You're an inspiration to me. I'm buying your books and will be watching all your vids. Bless you, and what you do. Those are some happy working dogs. It's just so awesome. Thanks again!!!

Roy Cox! I'm obsessed with you and your dogs. I've shared every video, and rewatch over and over. I've wanted a ranchers life since I was born. My parents just knew I'd be on a ranch in Colorado, I spent summers there, and animals have always been all seem to care about. Especially herding dogs!!! My daughters coach asked me to keep my Heeler from doing tricks ( she did on her own) so people would watch the ball game, not her lol. She'd walk other dogs, and had all the kids laughing, wanting her. I admire you so much! I admire your life style and how great you are with dogs!!! I'm in North TX now. I'd love to adopt from you, if you ever have a need to find one a home. I'll make all my info available to you. I wish I had cattle for the dog, but a fun and adventurous life it'll have. Plus my heart. It's a big heart!! Thank you for all you do sir.

Ginger Countryman I live in North Texas as well. Roy just lives on the other side of the border in Oklahoma. I have cattle and would love for him to train my dog. Roy is a great trainer he used to train my great uncles dogs. That’s when Roy still lived in Australia

I know this was a long time ago but very very smart and impressive dog . what breed is this dog ? I have never seen a working dog that looked like this ? Could it be a Kelpie with a floppy ear , who ever ended up with this dog got an amazing dog , I love how he let the pressure off the cattle at the exact right time , and bit their asses if they got too brave . The most impressive part for me was how he knew not to round up the horses with the cows , I always wondered if they would not round up everything in the field and now I know , that was amazing . Roy , I dont know how you train them , I know they are way smarter than the average dog but you must have a lot of time invested in each one , you are an awesome trainer , it shows in the dogs performance

@6:49 @7:27 and @9:10 It's so sad for poor cows. I love dogs but when I see them chases the cows all the time I feel bad for the cows and don't like how the dog is chasing them. It makes the cows stress and fear for their life. Dogs are more innocent when they are not train to bully other animals.
