The "Ballad of Jessica Blue" is retro styled narrative and music video short film.
The story follows a young girls journey into self-discovery through her love life, her womanhood and her music. "Jessica" is at a crossroads in her life. She becomes suspicious of her boyfriend and is gripped by insecurities only to realize that she is doing more damaged to her own heart and future than any relationship ever could. Jessica has an upcoming showcase where she hopes to prove to herself and others that her music is as strong as her desire to be great. With the showcase days away she can't seem to put together her set or her songs. Jessica is torn between boyfriend issues, her creative issues and a general feeling of self-doubt. She confides in the people closest to her and they all give her words of wisdom along her path of self-discovery. Her beloved grandmother reminds her that all the security, strength and love she needs is in that powerful voice on the other side of her heart. Jessica finds her path by doing what she loves. She sings from her heart.

The hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life, was explain to my 8 year old daughter what happened to Christina, she absolutely adored Christina, she cried for 4 days after we told her, some of my cherished moments was watching my daughter sit at the computer and sing along with Christina, Christina's music and personality would just draw you in, so do I share this with her or do I pass?

Zeldaxlove64 is something that meant a tremendous deal to me all throughout High School, and is something that impacted my life in a tremendous way in which I have never discussed with anyone up until now. Now, in my lifetime, there have been many celebrities that have died, and have saddened me with their passing, but there has never been any one of them who has impacted my life more than Christina Grimmie. When I found her KZbin channel in 2009, I was only a freshman in high school, and it was the first time that I had ever realized that anyone can do anything with their life, and that people only have the limits which they place upon themselves. She was only a year older than me. At 15 years old, she had a KZbin channel with over 100,000 subscribers (which has since grown to the current (3,729,242 subscribers). As I would watch the videos of her just singing and playing piano, I became inspired with my music. Up until that point in time, I had only ever played Guitar, and I was not good at it. Seeing this girl who was only a year older than me and possessed such great talent, I was entirely inspired to be better. Throughout High School, I avidly watched her KZbin channel. I learned to play Piano so that I could attempt to perform covers in the same way that she did. Having the drive and motivation that I would find through her videos, I was able to become very talented in my music; I learned to play many instruments, I learned to improve my voice, and I have had the opportunity to travel with various groups to play music and express myself through music. For a great portion of my teen years, music was my escape, and credit for a great deal of that truly does go to Zeldaxlove64. I have never given Christina and her channel the proper thank you that they deserve; I never really talked about my emotional connection to the channel because I was always kind of embarrassed by it. I watched it for the music, for the inspiration that it brought me, and I always assumed that people would not understand that. So, Christina, thank you for giving me the motivation to pursue my dreams at the time. Even though I have a very different connection with music now than I did before, I do not have words to express all of the ways that my passion for music has blessed me over the years. Hell, without music, I would have never met the love of my life. So even though you were not directly responsible for getting me where I am or causing music to become such an important part of my life, thank you so much for inspiring me to make it happen myself; to show me that it was possible! It is not easy to see someone who is only one year older than myself die from such a tragic situation. My prayers go out to your entire family who is having to deal with this loss. I just wanted to make this post because I just wanted anyone who might come across it see how great of a hero you were; not only to myself, but to literally millions of people around the world. You did what many people only dream of being able to do. Thank you for being a hero, thank you for being an inspiration, and most importantly, thank you for always being yourself; for showing that sometimes being yourself is all you need to make a difference. I know :/ It just is heartbreaking to think that she has passed and she had her singing career in full swing and it's sad that she was taken away so sudden and in such a terrible way. I mean she was just doing what she had loved which was singing at her concert and after that met with fans at the meet and greet. Furthermore, she then was shot and her life was taken abruptly a few hours later after she was shot fatally 💔💔💔Also, her family, friends, and other loved ones I pray for because it has to be hard every day living with having their Christina not present. However, it has been a little more than 3 months since her death which is crazy/saddening tbh and it's hard to sink in that her presence is not here on Earth anymore 💔

You know, for years, I have had this feeling of familiarity nagging from the back of my mind, ever since I first watched this video. The music playing in the beginning of the video sounded SO familiar, but I couldn't figure out where I've heard it before. Today, it finally clicked, and it only took me listening to the song on repeat throughout the last couple of weeks to figure it out. The song that starts playing when Luke shows up is Cliché by Christina Grimmie. They put a Christina Grimmie song inside of a Christina Grimmie song! Or, well, at least the music video...But that's SO AWESOME! Now if only i could figure out how to replicate the outfit Christina wears in this video, I would be over the moon excited! I've always loved this outfit, and am really eager to find out if I could affordably buy it for myself.

Recently came across her one and only movie on a streaming service and it had me revisit her music on here and I got heartbroken all over again. After listening to various songs and seeing her in that movie, I wonder how far she would have gone in her career and I think she would have been pretty big and successful (more than she already was), her multiple talents and beauty combined with her personality and genuine kindness would have made her a true superstar IMO, sky would have been the limit. I also think her Mom would still be alive, it is very possible to die of a broken heart and I think she did after what happened 😞 Just a damn shame all around, one of the saddest what ifs💔
