snow bikes aren't unlike pit bikes. once the newness and excitement wears off, there's a lot to be desired. just like snow bikes, pit bikes opened up new areas of riding and presented a new challenge for riders. it was the ideology that got everyone hooked on pit bikes. I know that to be a fact because no rides and races them anymore, and if they we're so intrinsically fun to ride, pit bikes and pit bike racing would still be around. I was into pit bike racing pretty hardcore in the late 2000's and i've tried every version of a snow bike to ever hit the snow...from the 1970's Chryslers and Sno-Jets to the Honda Cub EZ Snow, to SnowHawks, old and new Timbersleds, to a few I can't even recall, and everything in between that even resembles a snow bike. Now, I just ride regular mx bikes and normal mountain sleds. Haven't ridden a pit bike in a almost a decade and constantly turn down offers from my buddies to ride their snow bikes. ultimately, snowbikes need another 30 horsepower and one more cylinder. A bottle of NoS just isn't near enough.
