This workout is sick. Do you have a print out of some of the progressions of sets. I would like to use this in my crossFIT routines.

Do you have a printout of the exercises that are done? I am taking some of this and building my own program based off of this and a few others I have found.

That was insane. This workout will help you avoid injuries on the slopes. But Im not so sure that its good for your knees. It will also burn off any unwanted fat and keep your heart in great shape.
@FitnessSheriff10 жыл бұрын
A knee, being ligaments and meniscus are protected by the strength and flexibility of your legs. Nothing in this video would match the forces exerted when doing big park jumps and landing really hard. Doing any of this with improper form, or incorrect angles could definitely hurt your knees (meniscus and ligaments) though. We made it a little razzle dazzle to have some fun and challenge. Nothing really beats the squat, deadlift and simple plyometric exercises to build leg strength (muscle strength - quads, hamstrings, calves) to protect the knee. Rock on.

Great video. Loved the exercises and the fat burning intensity. I just wish that I was twenty years younger and I could actually complete that workout.

Sal Barruzza I hear ya. I blew my knee out a year ago a was ordered one year of rest. Awful. About to post my video documenting my recovery and training. Look for it.

For the deadlifts? We gradually increased weight until he hit his 4repmax. Much safer than going for 1rep maxes. Everything else can be done at 15reps, for 3 full sets.

Shit this isn't needed just do some basic streches before you hop on your board and you're good to go. To train your balance on your board do nose or tail presses on your floor then put pressure on your heel or toe side and try to balance on what ever edge you are on. For you legs, after like 7 days on the mountain all the muscles you use for snowboarding will be worked up, the first 3 days suck but after that your legs won't get tired as much as the first day. After 14 days on the mountain your legs will be good to go. Nothing can prepare better than actual experience on your board.

Maybe at the lowest level if you simply joy ride a mountain, just go out and have fun, it will get a little tougher season by season as you get older. These guys want to compete and be top of their game (Trev is on the national team). Even if you don't have that goal, training all year long strengthens you and betters you year after year. Without daily exercise, you will eventually end up out of shape or broken. Ignorance to fitness will come back to bite you.
