I made the video! LOL I love my Summerboard so much and this video was sick man. Keep It up!

The man himself! Yeah you clearly love it and given you're the only person making decent SBX content I tend to reference your videos a lot. I think I'd enjoy using the SBX at a skatepark if I didn't have to pay for it, it's like a rocket powered skateboard 😂

The freebord price is a 1 week ski resort pass, but then you can snowboard your entire life. Name a better investment!

Freebord is under rated af

With all things. Snowboarding included. Where the head goes the body goes. On a snowboard to gain momentum into a spin you get your shoulders torqued then as you initiate your spin you turn your head and look in the direction of your spin. A good kicker helps too

The in-depth carving vs sliding analysis was spot on and so relatable. My snowboard riding style is really deep long carving, so the freebord frustrated me at first cuz i kept leaning my body over my edges and toppling over. Great video bro!

Cheers, glad you found it useful. Did you recently get the Freebord?
@EvilMonkey3509 ай бұрын
@easy_riders Started about 2 years ago but I don't ride as consistently as I'd like to. Thats about when you started uploading videos, right? You progressed fast!

The closest board I've found for carving emulation is actually a carve board/streetboardz. The huge ones with the pneumatic rubber tyres. Their lean to turn ratio is much more similar to a snowboard, and they hook in harder than any longboard.

What up, Easy Rider! Great video! I wanted to know how the larger caster (center) wheel experiment is going? I recently learned of the new x 5 trucks, and after about 20 years ( or more) of first trying out a freebord, I'm gonna give it another go. Just picked up an older used model, but want to upgrade to the x 5 trucks and wider center caster wheels for stability. Got any advice or working prototypes? Was about to try to replace the wheel hanger off the original casters, but looks like there's a lock nut or something on the retaining bolt.

Your videos are greater each time! (By the way, buying a brand new FB5X may be a good idea for a beginner. It is much easier to start with than the classic design… and this could lead to another end than selling back the board after few days! 😂)
@easy_riders9 ай бұрын
Thanks a lot man! Yeah that's true, but upfront it's a much larger commitment. I guess it depends how much someone can pay, the easiest setup to learn with would be 5X with wide centers 👌
@MatschinHandstand9 ай бұрын
Hell Yeahhh, another nice video. Nice comparison. The Freeskate looks nice! Thank you very much for helping creating these and bringing them on the market!!!! Cant wait to get it with my 5X. And i made some nice progress with my old freeboard. I level up quit a bit and feel more comfortable:) But i realized that alot of your content repeates itself kinda alot. Some part i heard quit alot now :)
@easy_riders9 ай бұрын
Thanks a lot! Yeah it's difficult because the more advanced things for Freebord would be less relevant to a large audience. Cheers for letting me know it's a little repetitive, I'll try to incorporate more advanced tips for the next few videos 👌 Edit: If you have any ideas of what you'd like me to discuss then let me know :)

@@easy_riders Maybe you can make videos how to set up bindingings, how to tailpress, drift or overslide and stuff like that?
@easy_riders9 ай бұрын
Yeah so for bindings I still use the same setup as mentioned in the 2023 Comprehensive Guide. As for overslides, I mentioned how to do them briefly but I could do a more detailed video 👌
@MatschinHandstand9 ай бұрын
@@easy_ridersyou also mentiond the partial carving. Maybe some more details about this too? I struggle to do them:/ mostly i spin the whole way and im not able to hold it this little to control my speed :/ so more tips would be awesome :)
@Antox688 ай бұрын
There is no comparison between that and snowboarding. Everything you can do on that is equivalent to snowboarding on a green groomer. There very obvious differences like speed, terrain steepness, size of jumps, carving
@easy_riders8 ай бұрын
Ah you've tried both? What did you think of Freebording as a snowboarder?
