I love your Chanel. I haven’t touched a board in about a decade due to moving around a lot. But I’m back home in the PNW now, want to get back into it, and watching your vids has given me a lot to consider with regards to equipment and techniques. Keep up the good work. Stoked to see more. Cheers, y’all.

One question for this video is how can you actually tell a board is directional by looking at it? what difference in the nose and tail am I looking for? Thank you for this! I feel that there are so many new words when learning to snowboard with the equipment, on the mountain and with positions and how we move. I would love to see another video with the different terms for terrain and things you encounter on the mountain.

My boyfriend is taking me snowboarding this winter for his birthday. I'm pretty stoked but I've never even set foot on a lift so I'm trying to learn as much as I can.

Excellent vid guys! 👍. I’m sure the pro camp/archive community will learn a ton from them! PS - Kevin, your vlog awhile back on your vegan burritos totally rubbed off on me. I put sweet potatoes and all that other stuff in my burritos several times a week now. Been feeling better, healthier, and lost a couple pounds too. Vids like that are helpful also. 👍🤙🏼👌🏽

Great vid guys! With the hybrid camber profiles... What are they good for?
@CultureKids16 жыл бұрын
Hybrids are good to try to give you a "best of both worlds" type of scenario. You'll find some hybrids that are more aggressively cambered and will give an aggressive ride that can be a bit more catch free than full camber or some that have a more rocker dominant that causes it to be catch free with a bit more precision under the cambered zones.

How do you call the type of use for a snowboard to only go in resort-groomed-slopes? I am confused with Freeride, freestyle, carving, cruising. Thank you !

The contact points aren't the widest part of the board, it's where the board sets on the ground flat and touches the ground first from the tail and nose. Also a sintered base has pours in it that help hold wax where they're heat pressed from powdered ptex.

Nice vid! I don't snowboard for 14 years now and these videos inspire me to go back on the mountains. Watching this video I see that in 14 yeas the technology did not advance so much. The only new things I see are 'Hybrid Profile' and 'Additional Contact Points' but it seems to me that these are not really big improvements for the riders. It's more like companies marketing to sell more boards. The last board I bought that I still own has the features you mentioned sintered base, progressive sidecut, carbon stringers. She's a Ride high end freeride board (that I can't remember the model and unable to check). I'm planning to use her next season because for what I see she is still up to date. What do you think?
@SnowboardProCamp5 жыл бұрын
It's tough to say because there are so many different styles of boards out there now. Maybe try your old board out a few days and if you get the chance try some demo boards out to see if you notice a difference. Great to hear you're getting back into riding after 14 years!
