Great video! Any tips for a newbie (me) doing a banked slalom on a snowboard? (30 year skier first year snowboarder!). Low key race at my local hill this weekend and I'm entered!

Sweet! So there's definitely a rabbit hole you could go down as far as type of board/ stiffness/ wax/ etc. I would say watch the terrain but stay tucked on entry and extend on exit. Try to stay high on the bank depending on the conditions. Drown out the crowd and focus on the moment. Lastly, have fun because everyone is nervous!

I wish this was more common. It's hard to get opportunities to race, or practice for a race. At my local mountain they had fhe flag slaloms out one day for their practice. When they were done for the day I asked if I could take a run down the flags on my board, and the lady said "sorry it's only for the ski team." She was nice about it but man, I was bummed.
