Nappy was a legend when I first started paddling back in 2000... he still is in 2024. He is inspiring and reminds us why we paddle in the first place. Mahalo. I'm inspired to do this adventure. Not race but paddle for the love of paddling. Aloha nui

Nappy is a living Hawaiian paddler legend. Doing these crossings with an old John Martin Canoe and wooden paddle. Classic. Great film.

I was privileged to do the Molokai Hoe with Nappy in 2012. A very special man and experience. Very grateful.

wowh ... this documentary is so touching. Warm hearted people, respecting the heritage of their ancestors, be one with nature. As European I miss this habit on the "old continent". We have lost this connection since long. I wish Nappy Napoleon many ears to come paddling in his outrigger and going out into the ocean with his buddies. (P.S.: Just started rowing. 20 training units and I rowed 150 km. A real dummie. My longest row was 18 km. Hard to believe this guy makes 50 miles nonstop in one day in these choppy waves. He is a real inspiration for every athlet.)
