So for your information the scraping of the cheese is called "raclette" and wait till you get to Switzerland - it,s their specialtiy - served with cooked potatoes and other stuff. One of the best foods ever!

The Christmas Markets are lovely! I can feel your anticipation and excitement Snow! Framboise is raspberry! Mmm delish! Strawberries are Fraises. The magnificent church in Strasbourg is Our Lady of Strasbourg Cathedral, started in year 1015 and completed in 1439 as the Black Death swept through Europe for the first time. The cathedral known simply as Notre Dame is in Paris. It caught fire in 2019 and was badly burned. The French are rebuilding it using the same ancient processes used originally. The term Notre Dame means Our Lady. Thank you for including the video of the food line at the University car park. It is good to see how other countries care for their poor. Adieu.

Snow, I was thinking about the Ornaments you spoke of in your last video, you could get plain little ornaments and write the name of each market or town you visited in one. Personalize it. I would also get a special little notebook and jot down where you went, and the thing that made that place so special. Your favorite sights, smells, experience at each market as you visit them, just quick little notes so you have a special memory from each one to always go back and revisit and see the "feeling" you had in that moment. Just a thought. Thank you for letting us share in this with you guys.

Maybe you guys could buy the little Christmas decorations that you want for the van and get to enjoy them for a bit and then, when the holiday season is over, you could have a drawing from your patreons and send the items that you bought to one (or more) of them. I just think it would be cool to get a small gift all the way from France from you guys. Just a thought, but not sure it would be affordable for you to do. Back in the day (in the 90s), I stayed in an automatic hotel in Strasbourg. At the entrance there was an ATM-like machine where you'd choose the number of nights and other details, slip you credit card in, and after payment was done you'd get a room number and a password, which was good for opening both the front door and your room's door. Bathrooms were self-cleaning. After each use it would lock itself up, do a full rinse and then air-blast dry. Cool to imagine all this technology was already in place 30 years ago.

Stunning!🎄 I think this just may have been Kara & Nate’s (YT) favorite market, out of the 9 they visited, but of course, that’s a matter of interpretation. There’s a special Xmas drink at them all too, which I can’t remember for the life of me, I believe it starts with a G, that I hope you’ve tried, too. It may not be your thing, but they seemed to rave about it. Poor Snow, has to look, but not buy, all the beautiful decorations. Maybe one day again, you’ll have a place to put such things. 🥰🥰🥰 As a huge fan of all the lights and decor of Christmas, I totally feel for you Snow with letting go of all your decorations and not having anything up. Could you buy some pieces and have them shipped home for when you eventually go back (before settling in Brazil of course 😉) Would it be a good idea to have cushion covers that are normal on the outside, but you can then turn them inside out at Xmas and the inside is Christmas themed? That way it's some decor that doesn't take up extra space... or you need some lightweight flat ornaments that you can stick to the wall behind your sofa. You've definitely inspired us to drive over to Strasbourg (will take about 14 hours) for next Christmas! Its very sad, but Europe is suffering the same as many others with extreme poverty in places, and often people can just about manage to keep a roof over their heads, but can't also put food on their plates. It's gradually getting worse as prices go up. Question for Curt - how did you get on with registering your drone in Europe for flying it? We were going to try to register ours for Italy (another casualty of Brexit) and gave up because it became too complicated!
