This hike was absolutely spectacular, Curt. I admire the way you get pulled farther and farther into whatever adventure you're on; I'm so grateful for every hike! Wow! This one had me slightly worried that you might not easily retrace your steps, but you have proven over and over that you have an inborn memory-knack that lets you effortlessly (if a littlr reluctantly) turn and go in reverse to get back to the van where Snow and the kitties are before they worry! Snow, you are a born teacher, with your ability to make dry facts come alive! Again and again, you lift fhe curtain between the present ("these are the facts") and the past (people actually living those facts) by giving us mental images and then seasoning them and stirring them up with your awe and enthusiasm until the images come alive in our heads!! That's a talent that you have! I'm so glad to be able experience the world, both present and past, through you both!

This was a stunning episode. I don't know which part was more fascinating, the hike by the gorgeous underground river, over natural bridges, through sink holes and caves, or the fabulous tour of the medieval castle carved into the mountain. This was epic from start to finish. I had to pause to say thank you. Now, I'm going to watch it all over again.

I share something with you Snow. My ancestors as well as the ancestors of most people where I live came from Normandie. I have never missed one video since the time you were stranded in Mexico during the covid. Merci beaucoup, à vous deux, de me faire voyager dans tous ces si beaux endroits.

Hard to choose which is my favourite, Predjama Castle with its back-to-the-wall impenetrability, or the amazing hike by the river with its majestic cliffs, caves and rapids. You had a great day in this area!

Epic hike Curt, that was just incredible, talk about calendar shots! You are one brave dude going through the holes in the earth on skinny, slippery trails! The castle was a testament of just how fierce those times were, to go to all that effort to protect themselves! Amazing adventures!💕🇨🇦

You are in my homeland. Hope you go to Vršič Pass and at the hut have some Slovenian food: žgance, zele and kranjska klobasa( buckwheat mush, souerkraut, and Slovenian sausage). My favorite is Logarska Valley(Curt can hike up past the Rinka falls to the hut and see panoramic peaks), you can go eat in the next valley Robanov Kot at the tourist farm. Also Velika Planina where shepherds take the cows for summer grazing, and of course the jewel of Slovenia, Lake Bled with the island church(which has a wishing bell for Snow). On the Adriatic coast in Piran Curt can have a sea feast.

Slovenia looks beautiful! The Amazing Race had a leg through there the season before the last one, and I remember REALLY loving how lush and green it was, very much like what you shared with us over the last 2 videos. Really reminds me of my Pacific Northwest home: green, mossy rocks, ferns, clear running streams, loam soils contrasted with granite cliffs... Delightful.

Being somewhat dramatic with the natural bridge. Lot of those here in the US. One county in Alabama actually has 2 within 20 miles of each other and they are seldom visited.
