Yeah, they could have even saved them for SAS if they didn't want naked discounted candles on the shelves for the holidays. Or kept them in the back, and had them available for BOPIS only. It's such a shame that they went into the trash!

As a graphic designer for over 20 years, this really is a horrible design. I'm conflicted. I don't think it was intentional, but I also don't see how it could go to print without them seeing how it could be interpreted. 🥴

Thank you so much for reviewing this one. I got to sniff one before my store destroyed the case they got in and it smelled like a nice vanilla peppermint, too bad it doesn't throw well. I may buy one to try if they do re-release it and will definitely get wallflowers if they release them❤ Thanks again Kent!

PEOPLE ARE DRAMATIC! I Loved the Snowed in from 2015 but never tried the one that came out prior. If I remember correctly, not a lot of people liked the 2015 fragrance but I did and I’m glad I have one more left. I wasn’t able to get this one, but I would’ve loved to try it as well. I don’t know why they couldn’t have just peeled all the labels off and sold the candles without labels like they did with Nook. They could’ve at least sold them for a discount as well they could’ve made some money back. I bet we’ll see them online being sold without labels from all the dumpster divers.

We can't dictate what people see when looking at the image. They did the right thing by pulling the candle. And the wrong thing by not having better quality control.

This is one of the uglier paper snowflake designs they could have chosen, even if that's what they were going for. I also feel like it reminds me of aliens or ghosts, but yeah - just an awful design, and I'm surprised nobody flagged it before production.

I REALLY appreciate your comments and sensitive review about this particular candle. Very fair and validating at the same time. So many have dismissed in a very insensitive manner what many of us saw in this design! I agree that I don't think B&BW made this label look this way intentionally. The "group" was the 2nd thing I saw. Like quickly I first saw ghosts, then it changed to hoods to my eyes. Like right away. 😮 I feel bad for them b/c they are definitely supportive of so many cultures. However, I DON'T feel bad for the design team, department, leader for NOT catching such a horrible design. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

I am bummed that I couldn't smell this one. I loved Vanilla Snowflake and based on the notes, thought his would be a great replacement. I get destroying the label but nixing the scent itself makes me sad.

Horrible design period. Can't believe it passed so many eyes before going to print for it's interpretation. BBW, graphic design team and Quality control should take this as a lesson learned. We already know even though this candle was "destroyed" for it's packaging they going to relaunch this same scent in a different name.

I am honestly fed up with Bath & Body Works giving the name of old scents to new scents that have absolutely nothing to do with what the name suggests. The scent of the original snowed in candle actually gives one the sensation of being “snowed in.” They did the same with a candle that came out in the winter of 2014 called “Ski Lodge,”which has a woodsy, warm scent that literally makes your home smell like a lodge, a winter cabin. It only came out that year and never again, until in 2017, maybe, not sure, they came out with a candle with the same name but but the scent was gooey, and extremely sweet. In other words, totally irrelevant to the name of the candle!🤷🏻‍♀️
