Brian "Waterhead Bo" Bennet was a MUCH larger coke dealer than Freeway Rick Ross . The character of Franklin on Snowfall is an amalgam of the real Rick Ross, Brian Bennet, and FICTION. This is the true story of Franklin on Snowfall... or at least part of it. Al Profit American DOPE

@@MrCeegee5000 Not really. There has to be a market for it to be a profit. Prices dropped in 1978 and people with sense left the business. Once the ghetto gets a hold of something it no longer sparks intertest of the rich. It is like McDonalds.....great business for whitey but in about 1979 came the profit margin was so low whitey sold to black folks and then indian folk.....dunkin donuts same issue. They can live on a low profit margin....whytey gotta have a strong comeback. Basic business makes your statement sound silly. Bottom line , there were a bunch of drug dealers on the west coast back in the 80s. The snowfall series isn’t based on any one drug dealers life. Singleton just wrote a story and blended the experiences of many drug dealers that were around at that time and wrote a fictional story. You had Freeway Rick who was probably the most popular that everyone knew about but there was also harry O and DaFF and queen pen meeker. Cat Mitchell in the Bay Area etc. And many many more. Singleton just made fictionalization of the whole west coast crack cocaine distribution scene back in the 80s

John Singleton stole Rick Ross story..... The REAL Rick Ross..... Rick Ross was given him the story of his life and believed he was gonna get a movie out of it .... Then Singleton disappeared and a few years later Snowfall came out..... 🕵️ Think I'm lying, look it up..... Fyi Now Singleton is dead, production is reaching out to Rick Ross to keep the series goin.....

Ok these comments are crazy 😂😂😂😂 I thought this was accurate because #Snowfall was based on multiple drug figures from south central la…. Yes Rick was one but Bo was mentioned in interviews as well…it’s a show ladies and gentlemen….they have find many inspirations to make these stories people 😂

Franklin was initially meant to be portrayed as freeway Rick which is why John singleton was going and talking to him beginning of the show. It wasn’t till later they changed it up.
